I see Midiplus on Amazon but not the MIDIPLUS Wind 2. I also can't ind it on their website. New product or different manufacturer?

"MIDIPLUS Wind 2 is probably the most bare-bones wind synth on the market. 10 simple sounds, no pitch-bend or expression... first impression is a tough one. But I'd be lying if I said it didn't grow on me over time. Breath-controlled velocity is clutch. It's been a pleasure to have around, no bigger than a tin whistle, easy to keep in a bag and pull out at a jam.

While it's certainly not for everyone, it's pretty cool to have a wind synth at this price. Sort of the r/CheapKeys of wind synthesizers. And with Bluetooth MIDI, it could control any tone you want. Pretty cool little thing.

I knew it had some real potential when I started putting it through effects. It's rare I turn my effects to 100% wet, but with an instrument such as this, a pure tone can really let your effects shine.

?* is almost the same as the Zachtekind & ?Kind.
A walkman with extension circuit that is powered by the walkman itself, controlling the Walkmans playback speed with buttons linked to the potmeters next to them. It is a simple device that makes it possible to playback tape in very slow speed and switch between selected speeds, intuitive and playful.
it is stereo. Has a build in radio (AM/FM, no extra controls over this radio are added).

::Audio/CV
- input cv in for playback speed control -5v to +10v (example: 0v = low pitch, 5v is high pitch, so it is in reverse from normal).
- amount of CV can be adjusted with a potmeter.
- output audio out from walkman.

::Controls:
- 5x pot for playback speed per push button momentary switch.
- 1x ON/OFF toggle switch for 1st playback speed pot switch override.

::Power:
- 2x AA battery, The range of the speed control pots is different when powered from a battery.

"I've recently finally received my playdate after more than 2 years of waiting. Besides the nice retro games, there are also a few audiovisual apps already out there, which makes the device way more exciting. First stop here is an app called Granular by Orllewin, inspired by an old Reaktor instrument called Travelizer. It is an experimental granular sampler which splits a sample (recorded via its internal mic, via external mic with trrs splitter on the headphone jack or in this case, an imported custom sample) into 5 tracks with various granular controls and separate fx.

"Granular is an experimental 'grain sampler' for Playdate that plays subsamples from a recorded parent sample, it's inspired by the old Reaktor 'Travelizer' instrument. Granular includes various modifiable parameters and effects to change the sound which produces beautiful glitchy ambience that can be used on its own or as a background for other instruments.

You really need headphones or to connect to a speaker - this will not sound good through the Playdate's tiny built-in speaker.

You don't have rigid control over the playback, most options not related to effects/filters increase or decrease the probability of something happening, either a change in playback rate, or how regular the samples are triggered, it's all fairly random.

Generally 'A' selects and navigates, 'B' closes and pops the stack back to the previous location, everything should be intuitive with a little exploration. Granular operates on probabilities; when you select 'jump' or 'rev.' (reverse) or other parameters you're telling the underlying engine to allow the possibility of that happening each cycle."

"More experiments with the pikocore. Random chord triggering sent from the M8 to the J-6. The Pikocore is synced to the J-6 which is clocked to the M8.

I’m syncing key changes to the random chords as well. I think I’ll continue down this path towards actual pseudo random song creation … so possibly more M8 + J-6 combos in the near future. The modulation options on the J-6 are nonexistent sound design is incredibly limited. I could use another mini synth instead, maybe the great conjunction, or the kasser arcade. but that would take more cord wrangling in the m-8."

Each processor core stores 16 algorithms that can be entangled with other core programs to create your own complex algorithms / spectral palettes for the stereo field or quadraphonic space. "Triangle VGA sequencer is an unorthodox audio-video synthesiser. It consists of arduino for generating VGA signal, bunch of CMOS chips like: shift registers, frequency dividers, bilateral switches and phase locked loops. It’s noisy, unpredictable and very glitchy! It also contains envelope follower, so you can plug in an external input. There are no rules in playing the triangle – the surface is magnetic, which allows you to combine variety of patterns via placing the magnets, create feedbacks between each colour/oscillator and unstable sequences. It contains two outputs – red and green, while blue controls the overall pitch of the sequencer. It has on / of toggle switches for each colour/oscillator as well as for their frequency range and three sliders for their frequency and controls for vertical and horizontal sync and clock oscillator. It has VGA output and runs on USB mini. What you see is what you hear ! It’s brute, it’s rude. it’s contingent and crude!"
