Vintage Synth Lab : D-ENV Eurorack delayed gate & trigger envelope generator

"The D-ENV is a 10hp Eurorack analog (exponential) envelope generator (AR, ADSR) with an additional Delay and Hold circuit to generate delayed gates or triggers, and hold time up to 1 second. The D-ENV's delay circuit is completely independent of the ADSR, however the delayed gate (or trigger) can be routed internally using the D-G or D-T switches. The Delayed Gate and Trigger output jacks are always available, regardless of internal routing. CV to control DELAY time (DELAY controls sets maximum delay time). The Delay circuit is essentially a one-bit shift register which only allows gates or triggers at the DG-IN jack to be acknowledged once the complete DELAY, then HOLD (sequence time minimum is 24 ms, or 12 ms for each stage) process is complete. During the DELAY or HOLD processing, the DG-IN jack ignores all incoming delay gate signals. Inverted output of the EG is also available. Short and Long modes are accessible from the front panel, however the extended long range can be set on the rear of the module for extra long envelopes."

"Vintage Synth Lab Eurorack modular synth product demo for the VCF-74 (mk2), D-ENV, and the VCO-2 (prototype phase).
In this video, we have our Beatstep Pro sending two separate sequences to the two independent oscillators of the VCO-2 (prototype dual CEM3340 oscillator), and the two independent D-ENV (Delayed Env Generators). The two D-ENV modules are sending envelopes to each VCO voice's VCF and VCA simultaneously, and respectively.

Note: the D-ENV is expected to start shipping in early February, while the VCO-2 is in prototype phase. We will be developing the next phase (as a likely production candidate) of our VCO-2 during the first half of 2018."

"The D-ENV is two modules in one. A utility and effect, for both module functions. A standard exponential analog envelope generator (AR/ADSR), plus a Delayed Gate / Trigger & Gate-Hold with independent access to all both module functions, yet linkable via the push of a front panel switch--in order to route either a Delayed Gate or Delayed Trigger to the inertial AR/ADSR as initial EG triggering or additional "re-trigger" of the AR/ADSR function."

"Exploring drones and feedback with the AWM3. By routing the 1+2 mix out to channel 2's input and 2+3 out to channel 3's input, the Make Noise STO's sine output is mangled into a multi-stage feedback loop of growls, whistles, crackles, and sizzling textural material. Animated by the Mannequins Just Friends's six outputs, each stage of wavefolding is manipulated slightly out of time, creating an evolving drone that never quite repeats. The VSL AWM3 isn't just a mixer, isn't just a wavefolder: it's a machine for creating knotted, gnarly textures, sputters, distortion, and more.

The AWM-3 by Vintage Synth Lab is a complex wave-shaping, 3-channel analog mixer module that allows for precision control over compression and waveshaping per channel. "The VCF-74 is a 14HP voltage controlled filter in Eurorack format. VCF-74 features a dual analogue high-pass and low-pass filter, cascaded (series, from HP - LP). The discrete diode filter circuit is inspired by the 1970s Univox Mini-Korg synthesizer's "Traveler" filter section which provides warm, organic sound to your modular system. However, this design was not only adapted for Eurorack, but is feature enhanced for a wide array of possible filter characteristics.

A stage boost switch allows you to drive the 2nd filter section (Low-Pass) with a +5.3dB signal boost from the High-Pass output signal creating a warm saturation and varied resonance to signal ratio/dynamics. Independent manual resonance controls per filter section allows you to fine-tune a wide variety of focused sound. Input and Output level controls allow you to optimize dynamic range, including how hard you drive the filter--which drastically changes the dynamic interplay between signal and harmonic resonance. Both High-Pass and Low-Pass circuits have independent cutoff controls. Independent CV inputs for cutoff and resonance of each filter section, and attenuation/gain for CV to cutoff provide superior control over filter behavior. The VCF-74 can be set up as a Low-Pass, High-Pass, or Band-Pass filter. Width of the Band-Pass can be adjusted by simply dialing in the offset controls appropriately."

One is being modulated from LFOs synced to a clock divider (driven by the Beatstep Pro clock output) and the other VCF-74 has white noise through it, with its LP cutoff modulated by each snare trigger via a S&H (random step generator)."
