"NSX-39 has five of lyric slots, holds up to five lyrics and comes with five factory preset lyrics. Each slot can hold maximum 64 characters.
And you can rewrite them, you can store your own lyrics with "Pocket Miku Appli" a web application that runs with Google Chrome web browser on the Gakken web site.

Unfortunately NSX-39 can only sing in Japanese, so you have to write and enter your own lyric in Japanese (as you seen in this video, only Hiragana characters are accepted) with this application ;-p

"Testing midi playback with Rosegarden on debian wheezy.
This piano sound is generated by NSX-39 with vocaloid voice.
NSX-39 has a micro USB jack and works as a USB-MIDI GM ( General MIDI ) sound generator.

It seems that this NSX-39 is a 'usb midi class compliant' device then no special driver is required, that's why it can be controlled with GNU/Linux.
What did I use for this demo video is 'Rosegarden'.

The voice of NSX-39 is the same voice as " Hatsune Miku ", famous commercial singing synthesizer engine by Crypton.
This NSX-39 is using Yamaha's NSX-1 synthesizer chip ( really amazing chip : you can find English info at http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/produ... )

Anyway I got this amazing small synthesizer unit and shot this video, recorded with ZOOM Q4, direct recording from NSX-39's headphones jack to Q4's line in, and no sound effect was added.
I was surprised because NSX-39 has reverb effector.
Also demo with KORG Kaossilator2 is starting @ 5:00 ;-)"

"This teaser is a personal tribute to the band who inspired my work from the 80's ...enjoy!

The toys robots band playing live some tiny synthetizer and each member is controlled by an Arduino Uno which is hooked up to an iPad running a MIDI sequencer app.

The instruments used in this video are: Gakken SX 150 and SX 150 MKII, Dubreq Stylophone, Amdek PCK 100, Nintendo DS with Korg DS10 cartridge.
Arduino also controls the RGB LED WALL in the back.

"Starting with a clean sine wave, then at 0:10 adding a short, high feedback delay. At 0:48 I bypass the pressure plate with a slide switch and adjust the volume knob. 1:20 demonstrates the cutoff, then the plate is turned back on for some staccato notes. LFO comes in at 1:43.

half the size of my original Mod-o-Tron: 3 x 17" faceplate, and only 1" high. Case is made from tinted acrylic and MDF. Runs efficiently on two AAA batteries. Uses a Korg Monotron Delay, linear potentiometer and force-sensitive resistor. Cost was about $90 total for all electronics and materials.
