System80 880 2020 Black

via this auction

"System80 880. The eurorack 808.

This module kicks butt. But honestly I sold off my entire eurorack collection and have just this left and a case. I love this module, it responds perfectly to the Squarp Pyramid, and is a great source module at 60 HP.

The serial number is B-100."

System80 Introduces 860 MK2

via System80

"The System80 860MK2 is a 10 HP updated version of our popular JOVE filter. It is a Eurorack interpretation of the multi-mode filter found in the Roland Jupiter-6, a 1980s analogue polysynth.

The 860 MK2 replaces both the 14 HP JOVE and the 8 HP 860 MK1. It has been updated and improved in several ways, including memory recall of the filter mode, a quad OTA filter core, internal voltage references, a fully attenuated 2 input audio mixer, and a steel back cover.

Features

4 modes: 24 dB low pass, 12 dB low pass, band pass and high pass
Filter mode recalled between power cycles
2 input audio mixer
2 frequency CV inputs, one bipolar and one unipolar
1 resonance CV input, non-attenuated"

System80 881 Trigger Input Interface (TII) for 880 TR-808 Eurorack Module

video by System80

"Video tutorial for setting up the Trigger Input Interface (TII).

These instructions work for both the 881 8 HP Eurorack expander module as well as the TII in the 880 desktop enclosure.

Trigger Input Interface or 'Tee Eye Eye' is a bit of mouthful, so we've abbreviated it as 'T2' interpreting the 'II' as Roman numerals.

The TII uses the TRIGGER 1 and TRIGGER 2 lines as a serial data interface. This is why there is a fairly baroque series of steps for setting up the TII."

Conjured Circuits JP6 Multimode VCF

"A sweep through the octaves and modes. Analog spring reverb used from Synthesizers.com"

"Sorry for line noise."

Note 2U refers to the width. This appears to be a 5U or MU module.

"Jupiter-6 Inspired Multimode Filter

The Roland Jupiter-6 is a 1980s analog polysynth with a great sounding multimode filter that is quite distinct from other Roland filters of the same era. Here it is recreated in a 2U Moog Unit module with an added 2-pole 12dB low pass mode, reminiscent of the Jupiter-8. As with most vintage Roland filters, it is based around a cascaded Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA), in this case using the LM13700 OTA in place of the obsolete Roland IR3109 quad OTA.

4 modes: 24 dB low pass, 12 dB low pass, band pass and high pass
2 audio inputs, logarithmic attenuated
2 frequency CV inputs, one unipolar input and one attenuverted input
1 resonance CV input, attenuated

"Great condition and sounds surprisingly massive. The kick definitely has some good sub to it and the sequencer has some neat tricks. Comes in a 4ms powered slim eurorack case, a nice portable alternative to the giant behringer 808. PS, those q tips are from cleaning tape heads, not my ears."

TB-303 Acid Ambient Eurorack Modular Synthesizer | Happy 303 Day

Published on Mar 2, 2020 sworn64

"Roland TB-303 through an MXR Distortion+ pedal, synced to the System80 880. Moog DFAM on the ambient, noise percussion. Main lead synth is the Noise Engineering Manis Iteritas through a Make Noise Mimeophon. Melody is created from clocked stepped random of a Make Noise Wogglbug with occasional voltage sweeps mixed in from a cycling Maths, all quantized by an Intellijel Scales. Super saw chord pad is an Acid Rain Technology Chainsaw filtered in stereo by a System80 Jove and 860.

Xaoc Devices Batumi is sending various LFO modulations throughout the patch to make it ebb and flow. Delay on the 303 from the 4ms Dual Looping Delay. Reverb is the Halls of Valhalla on the Tiptop Audio Z-DSP. Mix is through the WMD Performance mixer.

Did you celebrate 303 day? Have you ever made ambient music with an acid bassline? Let me know in the comments.
