"There are synthesizers that mark an entire generation: the Roland D-50 is one of them. Used by many musicians in the '80s and '90s, I'm playing with it today for an ambient session, enhanced by Microcosm's Hologram and Strymon's Big Sky pedals.

The D-50 evokes a specific memory for me: the soundtrack to the film 'The Big Blue' by Eric Serra, who used it on several tracks. So nostalgic for me..."

"I just received the LIVEN Ambient Ø from Sonicware, and tested it with an improvised track.

The synth separates into 4 distinct tracks: I've sequenced the Drone and Pad layers, and play with the Atmos and Noise. I've deliberately chosen to play with low and medium frequencies to make it a melodic track, but less atmospheric than my usual sounds."

/2, /4, /8, plays each N times
x3, x7 plays x time on 4 or 8 bars,X for chance, II for ratchet.
