DUB PLEX | Make Noise
video upload by MAKEN0ISE
"A subterranean Plexiphon patch.
Plus a visual score by Bruce Magill, realized sonically by Norman Freund!
More info about Norman's performance below:
SoundCloud: / landscape-graphic-score
BandCamp: https://normanfreund.bandcamp.com/tra...
Description:
Late 2025 Walker Farrell from MakeNoise started an international music challenge for musicians to participate in, submit your own Graphic Score, then at the draw of a hat, you would be assigned someone else's score to interpret and create music from. I am always interested in music challenges and the more off-beat the better.
Late December 2025 names were drawn at random, Walker constructed a collection of MakeNoise modular synthesis cards to generate random numbers to set who gets what score. I was allocated a topographical map from Bruce Magill that contained some text notes and penciled in graphics. Bruce had a musical concept in mind for this score but did say "Notes for this graphic score are only a suggestion. You can disregard them and interpret this score in any way you like, if you wish. ... Don't overthink." So I did have free reign to interpret the score as I wished, so I could let my imagination run wild. In my younger years I did a lot of wilderness hiking so was and still am, quite familiar with topographic maps, so for me this was the perfect score, something I could relate to and understood. As a side note, there is no right answer for interpreting a graphic score, so understanding is not an essential ingredient, however a vivid imagination is. It is a bit like laying on the grass and looking up at the clouds -- what do you see beyond back scattered light from suspended vapours in the sky.

Sounds from Superbooth 2026: Mordax Siren
video upload by Perfect Circuit
Mordax at Perfect Circuit

"Siren from Mordax and Anonymous Developer is a multi-oscillator drone generator module that delivers complex and compelling tones in a compact package. Outfitted with finger-friendly faders and optimized for performance, Siren offers macro controls which simplify the task of wrangling its massive set of sound generators. Twenty-one oscillators and twenty-three LFOs provide a rich landscape of waves to mix and mangle. Adjust pitch, waveform shape, and amplitude via manual control or CV, and enjoy the evolving textures Siren creates.
Siren is built on a digital core which prioritizes responsiveness and immediacy in addressing its deep sound processing capabilities. Digital artifacts can be welcomed in with open arms at the far ends of Siren's parametric range, inviting sizzling timbral interventions from aliasing and quantization. CV modulation has similarly embraced its digital soul, with no filtering applied for immediate connection and response to incoming signals. Tonalities are organized in whole-number, just intonation ratios, with every voice tightly harmonized with its fundamental pitch, producing a lovely and resonant tonal structure which often diverges from the typical and equal-tempered. Whether you're adding texture and movement in the background of a patch or diving deep into a well of uncanny drone, Siren from Mordax is sure to call you nearer with every patching session.

MOON Passive Analog Drum/Synth
video upload by Landscape
"MOON ordering is open. Please visit https://www.landscape.fm/moon for lots of audio, a manual, and to order if you’d like. Moon is a *passive (*CV powered) analog 4 channel drum/synth. These examples get progressively more intense and then there’s the ending. Moon sounds different from the 8 channel Noon. New circuits, new liquidness, new sub-bass, new vocal tones, new filtering, new drones, new heaviness, but smaller with many blue knobs + input and cross-channel-modulation attenuation. When I use it I enjoy how it rhythmically breaths with the voltage. Thank you to @MysticCircuits for helping to make this happen! Special thanks to Erin vanZandt, Emily Brandt and Emily Poole for visual and ear support!"

Manifold Research Centre - Ubique
video upload by NOISEBUG
https://www.noisebug.net/products/man...
Ubique from Manifold Research Centre sets two distinct micro time modulation cores in a spiral dance, providing a feedback phase network of flanger and phaser for entangled explorations. At the left side, a BBD based flanger explores the timbral manipulation of short delay times, with time spans ranging from 5-250ms. At its opposite is a 10-stage transistor ladder phaser, creating shifting harmonic movements and self-oscillating at high settings. The flanger's output sums into the input of the phaser, which can then be sent back into the flanger using the central feedback slider, inviting an infinite loop of audio processing. When combined and carefully managed alongside the two effect-specific feedback controls, these three opportunities for nonlinear gain management unveil a vast sonic landscape. Here, metallic tones, full spectrum percussive punctuations, and harmonic screams of distorted delight await your inspired patching.
As for patching, Ubique provides plenty to be inspired by. Independent audio inputs and outputs allow for summing diverse signals within the temporal torrent, and create unique stereo effects with output signals tapped from distinct processing positions in the loop. Manual and CV controls on each core for frequency and resonance, with attenuverters for the frequency CV inputs, allow you to shift and mangle the feedback processing with external signals. The BBD's dry/wet control and a phase invert switch for the phaser provide even more ways to manage and manipulate Ubique, with each interaction inviting new avenues of sound design. Whether you're summoning spectral wails in an all-out maelstrom of feedback or deftly dialing-in daring effects with careful control, Manifold Research Centre's Ubique is an otherworldly examination of time scales beyond comprehension, sure to draw out dedicated sonic explorers to diverse musical ends.

Speak & Glitch GND 1T circuit bent synthesizer: The power of Manual Morph and Drift Buffer Scaling
video upload by GND-1
"The GND-1T is available directly from https://richardvanhoesel.com/gnd1t
This video shows how to use two powerful tools on the Speak and Glitch GND-1T: manual patch morphing, and drift-buffer scaling. Combined they offer a powerful way to navigate the GND-1T's vast sonic landscape, and make creating unique new textures and patches very simple. There's a lot more that you can adjust in this process than I don't have time to show here, so see the manual for more information. But if you haven't used this combination so far with your GND-1T, I think you will be very happy to start doing so after watching this.
As usual, everything you hear in these demos is a direct stereo stream recorded from the GND-1T, without any external effects."

ROLAND P-6 vs. THE LIMITS ❄️ UK Garage Train Jam | Jamuary 2026
video upload by jAUF BezDebat
"Pushing the Roland Aira Compact P-6 to the absolute edge while rolling through a snowy winter landscape. No more excuses about 'limited gear'—we’re mashing up the constraints and turning them into features. Seen?
[The Session] This is a high-speed UK Garage & Bassline session recorded live on a train. The P-6 might be small, but we’re squeezing every bit of juice out of its sample memory using custom hacks and workflow tricks.
Pay attention to the Ragga MC commentary—I’m shouting out technical specs, signal flow, and P-6 shortcuts instead of the usual hype. Watch the snowy window for lyrics and keep an eye on the screen for text-based tips on how to master the P-6 live.
[Workflow Secrets]
The 'Kit' Strategy: Prepare your samples as a kit so you can slice them and have more control. This way, you can access any part of the riddim and even combine multiple kits inna one beat.
Bank Management: Set strict rules for which sample types go into each bank. This allows you to mute banks live and keep the session flowin' smooth.
Old School Logic: Actually, it’s nuh ridiculous, seen? Short sample time was a typical limitation inna UK Garage origins because of the gear capabilities back inna di day. We’re just bringing that energy to the P-6.
[Gear & Community] Special thanks to the brands and family keeping the inspiration high:
Hardware: Roland Aira Compact P-6
[Join the Family] If you’re a P-6 head or just love gear-torture sessions, hit that Like and Subscribe. Tell me in the comments: What’s the one P-6 limitation that drives you crazy? Let’s find a hack for it!
Upfull vibes and happy Jamuary! πΉ❄️"

The Age Of Eurorack: An Interview With Dieter Doepfer
"Few people have shaped the contemporary landscape of electronic musical instruments as profoundly as Dieter Doepfer, the German engineer whose A-100 system effectively established the Eurorack format in the mid-1990s and helped bring modular synthesis into widespread use. Maintaining his passion for music throughout his physics studies, Dieter’s path led him from repairing band equipment and building DIY effects to becoming a household name for anyone immersed in analog synthesis over the last three decades. To his own continued surprise, he helped lay the foundation for a community-driven ecosystem that now spans thousands of modules and hundreds of manufacturers worldwide."

The Fancyyyyy K-Accumulator - A Complex Oscillator Made of Complex Oscillators π½
K-ACCUMULATOR - 21st Century Complex Oscillator video upload by Fancyyyyy Synthesis
Note, this appears to be the first Fancyyyyy post on the site. :)
Currently exclusive to Perfect Circuit

"The Fancyyyyy K-Accumulator is a revolutionary stereo complex oscillator that combines cutting-edge synthesis techniques in an intuitive, hands-on architecture inspired by classic complex oscillators. Designed in collaboration with Grrrwaaa aka Graham Wakefield, creator of Max/MSP's gen~ platform, fans of experimental timbres and novel synthesis techniques are right to celebrate K-Accumulator's emergence into the Eurorack landscape. Seamlessly combining pulsar synthesis, phase modulation, and complex 3D waveshaping, K-Accumulator pairs its modulation and carrier oscillator pairs with an onboard function generator, pattern generator, and flexible root frequency quantization and manipulation, providing fruitful terrain for exploring captivating timbres in systems of any size.
Starting from a core sine and cosine wave, K-Accumulator provides an innovative morphing matrix architecture which progressively remaps panel controls to waveshaping positions for the carrier and modulator oscillator section. Expand tones with complex harmonic wavefolding, blended frequency shifting, and harmonic stretching. Shape tones into newly mangled forms with formant synthesis, sync damping, and asymmetric phase modulation, or invite chaotic movement and surprise with damped cross phase modulation and damped self-feedback. Even the onboard function generator can sing, enabling audio rates for pulsar synthesis that can be operated independently from the main oscillator. Despite the PhD in DSP you might need to fully understand K-Accumulator's synthesis engine, the morphing matrix architecture allows these many manipulations to be smoothly and seamlessly explored through intuitive manual control.
Even further possibilities abound when employing K-Accumulators twenty-three patchable points of external signal integration, with most primary CV inputs featuring dedicated attenuverters for precision control. In addition to CV control over the frequency, shift, depth, morph, and shape controls, the primary oscillator in K-Accumulator offers CV inputs for thru-zero phase modulation, damped/pulsar control, and an external input which can be used as an external sync source or for pitch-tracking an external source to use K-Accumulator to harmonize with external sources. Its outputs offer both the sine and cosine waves, creating unique stereo space through the phase differences on each output as it is manipulated by the waveshaping engine. Control root frequency for the oscillator section, function generator, or both, with both 12-TET and Just Intonated quantization, multiple scales of frequency control, and a dedicated detune control in the modulation oscillator for inharmonic applications.
At the left side of K-Accumulator, a highly flexible function generator is onboard for additional modulation or audio sources. Multiple unique internal trigger modes, looping capability for LFO and audio rate oscillation, thru-zero FM, and onboard waveshaping make this a potent source of signal manipulation for either K-Accumulator itself or anywhere in your system. To the right of the function generator, a Delta-Sigma pattern generator enables stepped and smooth pseudo-random pattern modulation, providing an onboard sequencer for root frequency, or any other parameter. With its immensely capable and unique synthesis engine alongside flexible and creative onboard modulation sources, Fancyyyy's K-Accumulator offers a new vision of complex oscillation for contemporary modular synthesis, translating vanguard digital signal processing into a familiar form factor for deep sonic exploration, intuitive skronking, and new musical forms yet unheard."
