"The Lumanoise v2 from Leploop Synthesizers contains one square oscillator, one 12bit sawtooth oscillator, and two trautonium-like sub oscillators. It was inspired by the Oskar Sala Trautonium instrument - the predecessor to the synthesizer- invented in the 1930's. The TMaster trautonium oscillator and it's two suboscillators are controlled by a Light Dependent Resistor. The other oscillators pitches are also controlled by Light Dependent Resistors with their volumes variable with a knob. The oscillators are then fed into a -12dB resonant low pass filter, which is controlled by another Light Dependent Resisitor. Works great with a flash light!
Features
Square, Saw, and Trautonium-style Oscillators
Light Dependent Resistor Control
Switches from High to Low frequency for each Oscillator
-12dB resonant low pass filter
Volume controls of each oscillator"

"The Lumanoise Version 2 is a light-controlled drone synth from Italy. Watch this demo video, in which I explain its features and ways to play it with light.
LepLoop Website:

Lumanoise Website:
http://lumanoise.blogspot.it/
The L.E.P. Lumanoise v2 has a square wave oscillator, a sawtooth oscillator and double, Trautonium-inspired sub oscillator. After mixing the oscillators together, the signal is sent through a Low Pass Filter with adjustable Resonance (which goes up to self-oscillation). The filter cutoff frequency, as well as the individual oscillators' pitches, can be controlled by light, via the light sensors on the top panel.

"OVERVIEW
Small drone generator with two classic oscillators, two sub-harmonic oscillators, a 12dB lowpass filter and photo resistor control. Interesting, unusual small machine inviding to play instantly! Very lovely is the handmade bag made of felt :)
DETAILS
The tone generator section consists of a square wave oscillator, a digital 12Bit sawtooth and two subharmonic oscillators, inspired by the Trautonium which generate sub-frequencies derived from a master frequency.
The level can be set for each oscillator and the frequency range is selectable between high and low. For the subharmonic oscillators that's possible only for both at the same time but you can set the frequency divider individually. A variable frequency control is possible only via three photo resistors on top of the unit which makes the Lumanoise V2 so outstanding. No oscillator is at the same base frequency which provides for frequency beating, so typical for drones.
A 12dB low pass filter with resonance shapes the sound. The cutoff frequency can be set either with the potentiometer (working in opposite direction, by the way) or two more photo resistors.

Eowave Persephone Mark II Synthesizer SN 621031
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"Eowave are rethinking instruments from the past with smart sensor technology. The result is a new innovative instrument with real analogue oscillators, a duophonic ribbon, 100% compatible with the computer environment with a USB I/O, MIDI I/O and 4 CV out.
Sensor technology now enables to recreate controls like ribbons with a new accuracy and a new duophonic process. The ribbon enables to play glissando like on a Theremin, les Ondes Martenots or a Trautonium. The addition of 1 x oscillator takes all its dimension with the new duophonic ribbon which extends the instrument sonorities spectral to play simple chords, but also enables numberless modulations, e.g. FM of one oscillator on the second one.
The Persephone markII has 2 x analogue oscillators with a waveform from triangle to saw, going from 1Hz to more than 20000Hz. An analogue resonant 12dB low-pass filter inspired from the filters from the 70s-80s enables to shape the sound. With its entire analogue audio signal path, the Persephone markII can generate notes with a continuous variable range up to 10 x octaves to create deep and resonant cello tones on the lowest notes to ultrasonic frequencies on the highest pitches. An optical modulation key will transmit the slightest vibration for expressive modulations.
16 x routing presets enable to select different routing architectures between the sound parameters and the 7 controls available (ribbon pressure, ribbon position1 & 2, key, pedals 1 & 2, LFO) for 8 destinations (lo pitch, hi pitch, filter, VCA lo, VCA hi, filter mod1, filter mod2 and VCA). 8 x presets are fixed and 8 are editable users presets configurable thru a free software. Users routing presets will be stored in the Persephone2 internal memory. This new section significantly increases the instrument control and modulation possibilities.
The A/D conversion is made with Eowave ESS DSP. This process assures a 12 bits resolution (4096 values) conversion for an accurate musical gesture. It's 100% MIDI compatible and uses USB full speed 12 MB/s. This makes the Persephone2 compatible with all MIDI compatible softwares whilst the latency is reduced at less than 1.5ms.
With a complete I/O section featuring 4 x CV outputs, 2 x pedals inputs, MIDI in & out, audio out, USB (MIDI), the Persephone markII can be turned into a powerful and unique controller to control most of your analogue or digital synths."

Metasonix TM-3 SN80 Tube VCO SN TM3-80
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"This VCO has a very unique sound and tracks nearly 2 octaves with a HZ/volt CV source, But be warned, it is not perfectly scaled and is not temperature stable. That's not a defect its just the way it is, If you want pussy trance anthem pads or want to play Mozart then don't buy this. It's definitely a raw meat kind of aural experience, chewy and tough.
The METASONIX TM-3 consists of two thyratron tube sawtooth oscillators, which are wired in parallel but may be offset with their individual front-panel tuning controls. Furthermore, soft sync is available, to force oscillator 2 to track with oscillator 1.
The waveform produced by the 2D21/5727 thyratrons is unique and distinctive--a very imperfect sawtooth. It's the kind of sound that screams "VINTAGE", because the only other instruments that produce it are vintage ones--the Mixtur-Trautonium, the Univox, and some 1950s electronic organs.
Furthermore, there is a suboctave circuit, which adds a square wave one octave below oscillator 2. It includes short pulses an octave above, for a distinctive sound. And you can mess with the STABILITY control to get unique effects--because the suboctave divider is made of two neon lamps, and NOT a transistor flip-flop. Except for the CV driver, the TM-3 is all tubes.
And unlike most other synthesizer VCOs, the TM-3 is so sensitive that it is easily used for FM sound effects--simply by driving either CV input with a line-level audio signal. Both inputs are DC coupled and highly sensitive. The result is a unique, and very extreme, form of signal distortion.
The TM-3 is a Hz/V VCO, meaning it follows a linear characteristic. Each successive octave requires doubling the control voltage. As shipped, the first octave is swept from 0 volts to 0.25 volts, the next from 0.25 to 0.75 volts, etc. Although not standard to the present modular-synth industry, this scheme simplifies the TM-3's use as a signal processor, and avoids the use of an exponential converter circuit, which can drift with temperature or cause other problems. TM-3's CV control is compatible with vintage Korg MS series and Yamaha CS series synthesizers.
Technical specifications
Output signal max approx 10 v p-p. Capable of approximately 66 Hz to 526 Hz. Center pitch setting with tuning knobs and 0.0v input gives approx. low C (66 Hz). Actual range obtained depends upon individual thyratron tubes installed--about 2 1/2 octaves is typical. May be controlled from any MIDI-CV converter having Hz/V capability, including the Synhouse MIDIJACK II, Philip Rees Little MCV, Kenton Pro-Solo and Pro-2000, and Encore Expressionist.
Power input 10v AC to 12v AC, 50/60 Hz, 1 amp max at idle--derived from an appropriate plug-in AC adapter. Inputs: two 1/4" phone jacks for CV or audio (they mix linearly). Output: 1/4" phone jack, audio, mono, 50k ohm impedance.
Dimensions: 7 1/2" (192mm) x 4 3/8" (112mm) x 3" (77mm). Weight not including accessories approx. 5 pounds (2.2 kg).
This is used electronic gear in great shape (low hours) from a smoke free home studio. I test it before it ships, but it is non returnable and there is no guarantee other than it will not arrive DOA. Rock On!!"

"3 VCO, 5 LFO, VC Delay and Trautonium Ribbon Controller System
This is my incredible custom portable Doepfer A100 modular analog synthesiser system, probably the most powerful it's possible to build in such a compact unit.
Think of it as two separate synths - the top row like a MiniMoog with three oscillators, mixer, Lowpass Filter, Envelope and Modulation Oscillator, the bottom row more like an EMS Synthi VCS3 with four slow oscillators, white noise/random, sample & hold, portamento, a voltage controlled delay line, a custom modulation joystick and a touch sensitive ribbon controller.
The power of this system for electronic, ambient, techno, abstract and film music has to be heard to be believed. Here's my YouTube demo [above] of the actual system on sale, please watch it to the end for important information about the sale."

They have an awesome collection of acoustic instruments, musical machines, musical walking sticks, microtonal pianos, Hammond organs, a "serpent", a VCS3 with sequencer and a violin in the shape of amoeba. I'd previously read about the Trautonium, and was aware of it being "something like an Ondes Martenot", but the one at the museum invited a much closer investigation..."
