The Massive Sound Of The Logan Vocal Synth
video upload by HAINBACH
"The Logan Vocal Synth is the most massive Italian synth I have encountered, both in size and sound. It combines no less than three of Logan's solo keyboards and adds a monophonic synth. I got to play it at Museo del Synth Marchigiano with my friend @LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER . If you want to get a taste of its sound, I have made a Decent Sampler instrument of the "A" voice that is available on my Patreon for all members, including the free tier: / hainbach

Everything you wanted to know about the LOGAN VOCAL SYNTH but were afraid to ask
video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia
"We finally found a Logan Vocal synth - and since this incredible unicorn doesn't get captured very often we thought the internet deserved quality photos and a video demonstration of all its functions. Or most of them - we actually missed a few features so stay tuned for a Part II later this summer.
Most of the info is in the video already but a quick introduction and recap would go something like this:
Logan Vocal Synth
weight 50 kilos
61 keys and 61 slider potentiometers
The upper panel is dedicated to :
instrument selection buttons, panning left and right, the monophonic and polyphonic synthesizers and their modulation controls.
The front of the panel is dedicated to the instrument sections Strings, Piano and Voice.
The architecture of this instrument is unique and might have been a bit of a gamble that sometimes worked out great and sometimes less so.
Our service technician had to slightly change the trigger circuitry to render the triggering of the notes more reliable and generally stable.
We also decided to non-invasively modify the split point to continue down to the lowest note on the keyboard instead of starting over two octaves up at the 24th key and below.
You operate this with the foot pedal switch, and it can be disengaged to return to the factory setting.
Some of the engineering wonkiness was decided to be kept though and you can hear the fluctuations, a slight tremble, in a lot of the sounds."
You can find an additional demo posted here.

Logan Vocalist - Analogue Choir Synthesizer from 1979, Italy 🎹
Published on Mar 21, 2020 Reuben Jones
Elka Synthex, DSI/Sequential Tempest, and Octave Kitten featured as well.
"The Logan Vocalist, by Logan Electronics, 1979, Italy.
The Logan Vocalist is an analogue synthesizer designed to mimic the sound of a polyphonic choir and the solo human voice. Evocative vocal-like sounds are made using a mixture of hard-synced oscillators, analogue filtering, and ensemble and vibrato effects.
There isn't a lot of information on this rare and interesting synth, and the schematics are the only documents I can find. If anyone has more information, including the A3 folded manual that Peter Forrest mentions in his A-Z book, please let me know!
Join 'Sintetizzatori Vintage Italiani' and 'VSMIproject Vintage Synthesizers Made in Italy', both on Facebook to see more Italian synthesizers.
Also, visit https://www.museodelsynth.org/ to find out about the Italian synthesizer exhibition in Macerata, Italy.
Thanks to Keith Kniveton at Lucid Sound, and to Dani Wilson at Hideaway Studios.
All music by me, except for
02:29 - 03:17 : Non si Sevizia un Paperino by Riz Ortolani, used in the Italian giallo movie Don't Torture a Duckling, 1972;
and,
03:17 - 03:48 : L'Alba dei Morti Viventi by Goblin, used in the movie Dawn of the Dead, 1978.
Thanks for watching!

Synth Magic logan Vocalist for Kontakt 5.2.1 and higher
Published on Oct 13, 2015 SPFXsynthesisers
"New demo for the new and improved Logan Vocalist."
"LOGAN ELECTRONICS VOCALIST
This Kontakt instrument is based on the extremely rare 1970s Logan Vocalist Synthesiser. It has taken many years to source this very reclusive synthesise. Being so rare, there is not even much information on the web about it, so we really were very lucky to find one.

Fully programmable from the front panel, just like a real Logan Vocalist, this is really simple to use.
Create beautiful analogue choir sounds from the 1970s, vocal effects plus lots of ethereal choir pads and sounds.
We also have added lots of extra features, such as filters, LFO’s, filter envelopes and a full effects section. The reverbs supplied are not stock Kontakt reverbs and come from high- end classic effects units which really add something special to the sound of the Logan. There is even a handy chord generator which allows for big chords to be played by pressing one key."
