There's a New Plugin That Uses Wavetables as Spectral Filters — Wavefield by Fine Increments

video upload by Keith Crosley

"Two new uses for wavetables today — and neither is synthesis. First: smallcircles.net/waveforms, a web tool by KRC Mathwaves user Quentin that renders any audio file as stacked ridgeline plots — instant Peter Saville/Joy Division "Unknown Pleasures" album cover art. (Fun fact: the cover visualizes radio pulses from pulsar CP 1919, originally plotted by Harold Craft Jr. for his 1970 Cornell PhD thesis.) Second: Wavefield from Fine Increments, a brand-new spectral filter plugin by Seth Watson that turns wavetable frames into FFT gain curves — three modes (Magnitude, Spectral IR, Phase Warp), tempo sync, stereo spread, and wavetable import. We also drop Wavefield into a Bitwig delay feedback chain for spectral delay, feature Authentic Soundware's new Space Age Colors library, and close with Liminal Space reverb for that Blade Runner/Lexicon 224 vibe. So grab your spectral filter and hold on to your pulsar for this wavetables-a-go-go episode of your favorite talky synthesizer content show!

─── WHAT YOU'LL LEARN ───
What the smallcircles waveform visualizer does and why wavetables are perfect input
How to export your own ridgeline waveform art as SVG for shirts, posters, and album covers
Why Wavefield's spectral filtering sounds different from EQ or conventional filter automation
How Wavefield's three modes (Magnitude, Spectral IR, Phase Warp) differ — and when to use each
How to drive Wavefield with your own wavetables, including KRC Mathwaves
How to put Wavefield inside a Bitwig delay feedback loop for a spectral delay effect

Synapse Audio Obsession: 60 Cinematic Ambient Presets Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

"🌃 Synapse Audio Obsession - Posthuman Dreams is a collection of 60 dark cinematic ambient presets. It includes: 8 Basses, 9 Keys, 9 Synths, 8 Leads, 7 Pads, 5 Strings, 5 Drones, 9 Textures.
📺 The soundset draws inspiration from sci-fi movies, cinematic soundtracks, dystopian worlds, urban landscapes, noise ambient albums, experimental modern art, and contemporary sound design.

📦 The presets are available here: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/obse...

📼 Built around the concept of imperfection, the collection blends gritty, lo-fi textures with constantly shifting timbres shaped through deep modulation.
The result is a living, breathing set of sounds—expressive, characterful, and capable of adding a distinctive atmosphere to any track, live performance, or visual project.

📻 The timbral range is wide and diverse, covering dark, noisy, lo-fi, retro, romantic, melancholic, nostalgic, atmospheric, detuned, cold, distant, dull, massive, epic, bright, orchestral, distorted, metallic, tense, atonal, non-harmonic, FX-like, evolving, and sweeping textures.

🎛 All patches are velocity-sensitive. The ModWheel enhances expressiveness by adding motion and tonal variation—brightening the sound, introducing vibrato, shifting timbre, or adding extra movement for dynamic and engaging performance.

💡 Ensure that you are using the latest software version.
To add presets to the collection, open the plugin Browser, click Menu in the upper left corner, then select Import Folder, and specify the folder on your computer."

Making a Tonverk Techno Rumble + other things

video upload by Abre Ojos

"The first thing I like to do on a new box is make a techno rumble. I learn a lot about a machine like this as I have a goal in mind and I can explore all the options. Here is one way to do it. I also live route the Pulsar 23 Bass channel through the TOnverk and apply a bunch of effects. And then sample the Pulsar and feed the Grainer. Finally add a Pulsar snare sample and make some weird hi hats. The video starts with the final result and then the making journey. And yeah yeah, OS 1.30 but in Australia I woke up to that so this is the final video that will ever be on OS 1.21.

Turning a Soma Pulsar 23 drone in a MEGADRONE using the Ableton Move

video upload by Abre Ojos

"Turning a Pulsar 23 drone into a MEGADRONE!
This set up just keeps bringing the inspiration. Come on a synth journey to add spacial widening to a Pulsar drone and adding layers on layers of layers using the slicing function on the Move.

I mention the ‪@RiemannKollektion‬ for the kick sample https://riemannkollektion.com/ check them out! (not sponsored, no affiliation just a big fan!)

Fragments Vol 2 - Arturia Minifreak V - Patches 33 to 64 (of 64)

video uploads by GEOSynths

"Out Now - https://www.geosynths.com/arturia-min...

Fragments Vol 2 contains 64 new Patches for both the Hardware and the Software Plug-In. In the Demo the Audio is coming from the Plug-In, not the Hardware, though there really is very little difference, if any.

All Controllers (where applicable) are being utilized and have mappings, so Macro Functions may have a single or multiple Functions, as well as the Mod Wheel.

There are lots of textured Pads and Strings, thanks to the added Samples and Granular functions, which I have used extensively, as well as the varied Synthesis methods/Oscillator types.

Bass and Lead, lots of Synth Keys and so much more, including Arpeggios and Sequences, most of which have Tempo synced LFO's etc. This is the 2nd Video demonstrating Patches 33 to 64.

The Patches are played in the order I made them, though in the software they are loaded alphabetically."

So this happened… Pulsar 23 + Pulsar 23

video upload by Conatus Modulari

"Not what I expected nor intended, but somehow this 80ish jam happened… There's some good sounds going on, though slightly out of my comfort zone here. Uploaded it because it's all because I like playing around, next time will be a bit darker (or will it… ?).

I definitely need to dive into this Pulsar 46 thing on my desk."

And a massive playlist starting with the above at the time of this post. Use the player controls to skip around.
