Tubbutec SH-1oh1 Max for Live Editor and Controller for the Roland SH-101
Tubbutec SH-1oh1 Editor for Roland SH-101 | Ableton Live Controller video upload by Studiomood

Studiomood has released SH-1oh1 Control, a Max for Live editor and MIDI controller for the Tubbutec SH-1oh1 upgrade installed in a Roland SH-101.
At the heart of the device is the Mood Engine, a 24-preset system designed for turning one sound into a whole collection of related variations. Inspired by the fast sound-variation workflow associated with the legendary AFX Mode, it encourages you to create a sound, copy it to the next preset, change a few parameters and keep moving.
Instead of treating presets as isolated patches, the Mood Engine makes them feel like different states of the same sound. Start with a bass sequence, copy it, open the filter, change the envelope, add an accent or push the extra LFO into filter FM territory. Within minutes, you can build a complete bank of connected variations and switch between them from Ableton Live or an external MIDI controller.
The video demonstrates exactly this Mood Engine workflow in action, moving through a series of connected SH-1oh1 sound variations and showing how a single starting point can evolve from preset to preset:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w1x0MWApas
This makes the modified SH-101 especially interesting for live performance, evolving sequences and fast studio experimentation. Presets can be selected with the arrow buttons, Random can generate an unexpected starting point, and Reset clears the current preset when you want to begin again.
Behind the Mood Engine is a complete software editor for all MIDI-controllable SH-1oh1 parameters. Cutoff, envelope amount, the additional filter ADSR, filter and volume accents, accent decay and the extra filter LFO are all available directly inside Ableton Live. The LFO offers coarse and fine rate control, covering everything from slow movement to extreme filter FM sounds.
Velocity can be mapped to 9 different targets: None, Cutoff, Volume Accent, Filter Accent, Accent Switch, Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release.
Clock sources for the Arpeggiator/Sequencer and Random LFO can be selected from internal LFO, external trigger input, MIDI clock and MIDI note. The corresponding clock dividers are also available directly from the Max for Live device.
Settings are stored with the Ableton Live project. When returning to a session, Send All transmits the current parameter values back to the modified SH-101, bringing the hardware and software back together without having to recreate the sound by hand.
SH-1oh1 Control turns the expanded architecture of the Tubbutec modification into a hands-on Ableton instrument, with the Mood Engine opening up a fast and playful way to explore how far a Roland SH-101 sound can be pushed.

"Tubbutec upgraded MC-2oh2 is master of ceremony here. It plays the 202 voice on channel one and Synthi on channel 2 (via Portabellabz CV/gate card). I must say that - quite unexpectedly - this small powerhouse by @tubbutec has turned into a hub of my present live rig. It’s that versatile and fun to play."

The best use of Eurorack 1U?
video upload by mylarmelodies
"This is a demo of Tubbutec's Drummertime - a full-size 8-track drum sequencer that fits in 1U. I'll explain why that's significant, then show you what the four editions of it are, how to make patterns and chain them, do performance mutes, tap in manual rhythms and more - this is the core functionality on demo.
Tubbutec hired me to make this explainer & demo - thanks to them for having me do this. It is, as I hoped, a very cool module."

A Tiny Techno Modular using Disting NT: Suggested Systems 9
video upload by mylarmelodies
"The good folks behind Expert Sleepers hired me to make a video showing the Disting NT doing something interesting - but what that was, was up to me. I figured the NT should be able to power an entire small live system, replacing a boatload of modules in one. And I thought about how James Holden blends computers & analogue filters in his work. And so I built a live system that does just that. Here's it working, how it works, the challenges I had, and the solutions. NOTE: YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THIS DISTING NT PATCH BELOW FOR FREE"

Tubbutec MC-2oh2 sample player on channel 3 #tubbutec #mc2oh2
video upload by analogia pl
"One thing that’s not discussed enough - or is even criminally underrated - is the third channel in the Tubbutec MC-2oh2. On paper, it’s just a simple sample player, coming with a factory-loaded set of TR-606-like drum sounds that are still fun and effective to jam along to.
With the MC-202 Hack software (but also possible via SysEx), it’s a breeze to upload your own samples -or rather, sound snippets.
That’s precisely what I’m doing here. I took pre-recorded snippets of vocoder-processed sounds and uploaded them into the 2oh2. It’s already fun just to play them, but here comes another smart function of the 2oh2: midifiers. Each sample can be filtered, slowed down, reversed, and/or accented. It’s an endless source of experimentation and inspiration."
Nice EMS Vocoder 1000 in back.

Roland Juno-60 with Tubbutec Ju-66 upgrade and Juno-66 controller #rolandjuno60 #tubbutec
video upload by analogia pl
"Tubbutec Ju-66 upgrade is so much more than just MIDI. I’m doing a couple of thing in the video. For starters, internal sequencer (coming with the upgrade) plays a monophonic structure but since the notes have long release, final effect is polyphonic. Then I’m using the (available separately from Tubbutec) Juno-66 controller to introduce oscillator detune, additional filter LFO modulation and additional filter envelope. All of these features are available without the controller, of course.
With Tubbutec, any Juno 6 or 60 is such a beast now."
If only the Juno-66 label section was a lid that opened for two mini mini controllers like on the Yamaha CS80 & CS60. And if they had mini mini mini controller sections ad infinitum.

MSTRBLSTR - Pattern Clear Pattern Write
video upload by MSTRBLSTR
"MSTRBLSTR - Pattern Clear Pattern Write.
124 BPM machine-driven acid house - negative space, dub handoffs, tape delay + spring reverb. Brief clears, then a new polymetric logic takes over."
https://open.spotify.com/track/4dNO60... https://mstrblstr.bandcamp.com/track/...
"Machine-driven acid house at 124 BPM: transient-forward percussion with hollow-bodied punch, a constant bass groove that shifts in intensity, and an arrangement built on negative space and dub-style handoffs.
Tape delay and spring reverb open wide. Brief breaks wipe the grid just long enough for the pattern to snap back into focus. Then the momentum clears and a new polymetric logic takes over. Modulated melodic drifts change the room without abandoning the floor, leaving you somewhere familiar but newly yours.
