"Okay, nothing very special. This is the third and final take. First the audio was bad, then the video. This time I got it! Live techno jam with pre-programmed sequencing with Manikin Schrittmacher, MAM SQ-16 and Yamaha RY-30. Bass from Moog LP and DSI Mopho, Strings from Virus and Micro Q, Percussion from Drumstation, RY-30 and Akai MPC 500. Last jam in my 2008 studio setup. Now it's getting rebuild for more efficency. The track is inspired by ripe909 who really does a great job with his tracks & videos here on youtube."
follow-up to this post Pictures taken by three crazy Waldorf betatesters: Dr. Georg Müller, Till "keep on turning these knobs" Kopper and Boele "SCD" Gerkes. http://www.waldorfmusic.de Note: Waldorf stated that they have NO part in this and may consider looking out for more sane beta-testers... :)
Hmm... The local Migros is somehow not as flattering as Abbey Road. :) If you could only pick up synths at the supermarket...
"Shagghie's Live PA at The Kava Lounge on Dec 12th, 2008.
He asked me, 'WYMM', by plugging in robotic vocal samples into his drum machine towards the end of this amazing Live PA. i said yes!"
Elektron Machinedrum, Monomachine and Roland TB-303
Update: some details from Shagghie:
"I proposed to vocalist Katy Rokit during a live PA at the Kava Lounge last month...
I plugged in speak-and-spell style vocals into each part of the MachineDrum during my
last song of the set...such that it would say "Katy Rokit Will You Marry Me", and let those parts build up as I dropped out other parts. This vid is of the last few minutes of the set and captures the proposal, and her delightful reaction, too! (she said yes, amazingly!)
For the synth heads... the live show was centered around the MachineDrum, a Beast 303 (www.thebeast.co.uk), a Kaos Pad 3 for FX and transitions, and an RNC compressor off the back of a Xone62 into the house mixer. Full audio of the entire set in high-res is here
Quite simply, the best night of my life. Thanks to VictorJohn and the Android Cartel and the army of TekFunkers for all your support, being there, and making that night so very special."
