Ellatron Remote Visualizer

YouTube via OmenieSoftware. no audio.
"Ellatron Remote Visualizer is a new add-on for Ellatron 1.4 that runs exclusively on the Mac, and is currently in development. Ellatron Remote Visualizer is designed to hook up to the stage projection system, to make an iPhone-based performance more compelling for the audience. Ellatron Remote Visualizer connects over WiFi to Ellatron 1.4 and duplicates Ellatron's display on the Mac, and adds customizable, swirly, groovy, hyper-psychedelic backgrounds for that authentic Pink Floyd UFO Club 1967 oil wheel experience. Ellatron can be connected to a guitar radio transmitter for audio and to Ellatron Remote Visualizer over WiFi for video, to allow true rock star expeditions across the stage during performance.

Ellatron - the sound of the 60s in your hip pocket."

Tutorial - converting CC Data with MIDIPipe

YouTube via alexpfefferdotnet
"This is a little tutorial about changing MIDI CC Data. Sometimes you don't want to change the settings of your sequencer or reprogram your keyboard. So you can simply use a little software called "MIDIPipe" to convert CC Data e.g. from CC01 to CC11. By doing this you are able to use your ModWheel for CC11. Hope you enjoy!"

MacBeth 3U Modules

Three images and some notes sent my way via Ken MacBeth.
(Be sure to click the images).
"- Hi Gentlemen! Well over the weekend a fair bit of work. Everything that I have wanted to implement into the dual osc is working fantastically!
I have attached some pictures for you to get an idea of how the style of what I'm doing will look. This is the Dual Oscillator- it has the two oscs- but also a genuine (not AD633 analogue multiplier IC) balanced modulator configured as ring modulator. This design is based upon early ring modulator designs common in synths from the very early 1970s. I also thought it would be neat to have an all transistor noise generator- it gives both pink and white outputs. All in all a versitile module- a real sound maker! Study the pics to see what the controls are up too...
The photos show the final art (transparancy) attached (loosely) to the frontpanel...
The next time this configuration will be seen will be the production models. Factory production commences in around 10 days- I expect these things will shift. As I have stated- like good old BK- 'have it your way'- so color formats are an option. I'm working with Shawn Cleary at AH on this- he will give you prices if you push him! Speak to him or me...
I would like to think that I have set a precedent that will hopefully sustain, in having LARGE controls within the 3U format! Others will probably follow.

Best wishes- Ken"

Little Phatty Editor Librarian ver. 2.1

"The Little Phatty Editor Librarian ver. 2.1 supports all 'Stage II' parameters, including arpeggiator settings.

The settings of the front panel controls can be displayed with several resolutions, including: 7 bit, 8 bit and high resolution (16-bit), to allow super-precise sound editing. The program can also be used to learn the inner details of the factory presets. Using the LP Editor Librarian, presets can be organized to create custom preset banks – a terrific feature for musicians preparing for their next gig!

All preset parameters can be displayed in a graphical user interface, including edit functions like Pot Mapping, Filter Poles and Arpeggiator settings. In addition, a Preset Genetics function is available to create new presets by morphing or mutating two presets together.

As a special added bonus, the Little Phatty Editor Librarian (even the demo version) is now the most convenient tool to update your Little Phatty's operating system."
