KAWAI K5 Synthesizer Book Making It Happen Dan Walker
via this auction
"This is 'KAWAI K5 Making It Happen' book. This is a manual for the K5 "The Book That Puts Human Beings Back In Charge of the Synthesizer". It is similar to the "Whatever for Dummies" series. It is written by Dan Walker who wrote a few of these and one is for the Roland D-50 / D-550. It is 103 8 ½" X 11" pages."
Thought this cover was pretty funny.
Vintage Hammond USA 102100 Synth
"Rare Hammond 102100 Monophonic Synthesizer. Made in the USA 1974/1975. YES HAMMOND MADE A SYNTH! This one of less than 50 working synths in the world. It is estimated that Hammond produced only 200 units. This is a fully functioning, complete with stand and smoked plexi music holder monophonic synthesizer... Little info is out there on these units. From what I have found they were probably made by Ikutaro Kakehashi the creator of The Roland Company and Hammond Japan. In 1976ish Hammond Japan made the 102200. Only around 200 units as well. They look exactly the same. Single 1/4" out.

"A synthesizer track composed with a arpeggiator loop from the Kurzweil Midiboard connected with the Kawai k1r and the Waldorf micro Q. The solo vibe sounds are from a Yamaha CX5M computer and the Korg Lamda in combination with a Moogerfooger . Accords played om the Juno 106 and on the Korg Lamda."

"Synth-pr0n from my trip to London during March 2009.
Somehow, no matter what machine I sit down in front of, I always try out the same patch--a big VCO feedback system, with a little sample-and-hold noise thrown in for good measure.
Thanks to Mick Grierson and Ian Stonehouse at Goldsmiths University for access to this fantastic piece of gear!
[Sound is from built in camera mic and is pretty low, anybody know some simple tool to normalize volume of a Quicktime clip?]"

TONEWHEELS workshop, DA Festival, Sofia Bulgaria from macumbista on Vimeo.
"TONEWHEELS is an experiment in converting graphical imagery to sound, inspired by some of the pioneering 20th Century electronic music inventions.
In this three day workshop from 24-27 October 2009, participants built a simple light-to-sound converter and DC motor controller, and then began to experiment with drawing sounds onto transparent "tonewheels". The workshop ended in a group performance and an invitation to the audience to try out the instruments for themselves.
As you can see, both the participants and the audience had a great time with this. I did too! My thanks go to Galina Dimitrova, Rene Beekman, Prof. Svetoslav Kokalov, Venelin Shurelov, DA Festival, National Academy of the Arts Sofia, Elena Kaludova and all the participants for a fantastic workshop in Bulgaria!"

KORG MS-10 HQ SOUND DEMO - vintage synthesizer 1978
YouTube via AnalogAudio1
"The semimodular monophonic Korg MS-10 hit the market 1978 and was the small brother of the popular MS-20. It can be seen as a cutdown version of the MS-20. It has 1 VCO, 1 VCF, 1 ADSR, 1 LFO and an ADSR envelope. It has one feature, that the MS-20 doesn't has: PWM - pulse width modulation. It can be modulated by the LFO, ADSR, Keyboard, Noise or any other external source. It also has an input jack for external signals - which can be treated with the filter and envelopes.
It has a 12 dB filter - similar to the MS-20 lowpass filter. The possibilities are not endless, but you can think of it like an useful expansion to your MS20. If you don't have a MS-20, don't worry - the MS-10 delivers some typical MS-20 sounds - but only a fraction of them. However, the MS-10 sounds great - raw, electronic basses, dirty leads, interesting FX... and you can treat sounds with the filter.
In this demo, I played the MS-10 with Roland DEP-5 (delay) and Lexicon MPX 500 (reverb)."
