"Rare is a term often misused on Ebay but here we have a genuinely rare item, the official Maestrovox web site believes there are only 20 known examples of this very early valve synthesizer left in existence, including this one. Sadly it is incomplete, what you see in the pictures is what is for sale."
On the Andromeda Space Rockers: "These are a series of small, DIY synths and devices designed by some well-known, Texas-based electronics manufacturers (4ms Pedals, Bleep Labs, Eric Archer, Wooster Audio, Mickey Delp). Introduced to the public at large through Handmade Music Austin last year, they’ve been gaining a fair amount of steam in various electronic communities for their easy-to-build nature and wireless networking ability. Yes, that’s right, wireless networking ability."

"In this patch an external security camera is recolorized using the Triple Video Fader & Key Generator (TVF) and Video Blending Matrix (VBM) modules. Two Video Waveform Generators (VWG) and a low-frequency signal from Doepfer A-143-1 serve as additional signal and modulation sources, while an external audio signal modulates the Sine Shape of one of the VWGs. One of the TVF's key output also frequency modulates the VWG. Intermittent grainy textures are due to the inferior camera source and unsync'ed VWG modulating the keyers. Manual tweaking throughout. LZX Visionary Demonstration - Hard Key Colorizer Patch
"lzxindustries — June 06, 2010 — This example demonstrates a classic colorizer patch with the LZX Visionary modular video synthesizer. Modules used include Video Sync Generator (VSG), Color Video Encoder (CVE), Triple Video Fader & Key Generator (TVF) and Video Blending Matrix (VBM). The TVF key inputs are fed external video from the Y output of the VSG, which is in turn locked to the output of a DVD player. The three key outputs of the TVF are then fed to the top inputs of the VBM columns A, B & C. The sum outputs of the VBM are then fed into the CVE Red, Green and Blue inputs. TVF bias knobs are adjusted to set the keying thresholds and VBM amount knobs are adjusted to select the color produced by each key output. No manual tweaking during the clip. The clip used is from Plague Dogs (1982)."
