"Curated by Bang on a Can, the Noguchi Museum presents the premiere of Tristan Perich's “Elevation Maps” for five accordions and five-channel 1-bit electronics. The extended new work will be performed at 3pm in the afternoon for their final “Second Sundays” event this year. Performed by Jim Altieri, Matt van Brink, Benjamin Ickies, Franz Nicolay, Kamala Sankaram.

This one in via brian c. Mike Edwards, aka Swami Deva Pramada, the cellist of ELO, passed away on September 3rd. via Wikipedia:
"Pramada was killed on the A381 between Harbertonford and Halwell near where he lived in Totnes in Devon, on 3 September 2010, when a cylindrical hay bale weighing six hundred kilograms (1323 lbs.) rolled down a hillside and collided with the van he was driving. He was sixty-two years old. Devon and Cornwall Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the cause of the accident"
