André Stordeur

"This is AndrĂ© Stordeur‘s unique solo LP, released 1979 on Brussels’ Igloo Records. Stordeur is a Belgian modular synthesizer specialist with a fondness for Serge, EMS and Moog gearing (see my Wikipedia article for biographical details). Innumerable Stordeur patchs and filters for the Serge await the aficionado on the Internet. During the 1970s, Stordeur was a member of the Studio voor Experimentele Muziek, an experimental music ensemble founded by Joris De Laet in Antwerp, Flanders.."

"SEM-Studio voor Experimentele Muziek °1973 Antwerp - Belgium
Analoge electronic music studio until 1980
This video shows the members of the SEMensemble of that time: Paul Adriaenssens, performing amplified objects, Korg synthesizer MS20, flute and seashell, Pieter Kuyl,Chapmanstick and synthesizer, Maurice Verstuyft, flute and synthesizer, and myself trying to explain the musical sens of the electronics. This is only a part of the movie. The music is a set of different extraits of compositions and the sound is typical for that time. The end shows a concert were a modular synthesizer is controlled by one of the first computers that allowed to be programmed in Basic. A custom made set of DAC's, constructed by Rudi Blondia, allows digital and algoritmic control over the analogue sound parameters, acting as an automatic pilot for the composition rules. Since then I describe my music as 'music for the parameters', or parametric music."

Hollow Sun HSDV Drum Synthesizer

"HSDV is a new concept in drum sample library for Kontakt.

Instead of static samples and snapshots of synth drums with little or no ability to edit them to your liking or requirements, HSDV is a fully fledged five channel drum synth that gives you full control over the way you can sculpt and shape your electronic drum sounds.

It is loosely modelled on the original Simmons SDSV where noise and tone (pitched oscillator) are balanced together and then shaped by a simple envelope but unlike the original, HSDV offers various noise types (white, pink and red), multi-mode (LP/BP/HP) resonant 2- and 4-pole filters for the noise, a choice of waveforms (sine, triangle 1, triangle 2 and square) for the tone oscillator. There are also a variety of different 'Click' sounds to mix into the attack of the sound for more 'punch'.

And unlike the original, the filter can be swept and the tone oscillator's pitch bend sweep is also invertable on the HSDV for a wide and versatile range of powerful drum sounds and sweeps."

Rude 66 Monotron Mods for Sale

via Monotron Mods
"As cool as the Korg Monotron is, wouldn’t it be nice if it could be controlled externally?

I can modify your Monotron to accept cv/gate signals so it can be controlled directly by an analogue sequencer, or through midi via a cv/gate converter.

You’ll get an external box with a seperate cable (as obviously the Monotron is too small to include all the parts) that can be taken off so your Monotron can be used as before. it's a standard S-video cable, so you can replace it. both the box and the monotron have 4-pin DIN input connectors.

The box includes inputs for:
-gate signal (5V)
-CV signal for oscillator pitch
-Cv signal for filter
-a switch for filter tracking
-a potmeter/ trimmer to adjust pitch cv
The box is connected to the Monotron with a 4-pin mini-DIN cable..."

Xmas 2010

"I was putting a sound card in the slot of the Kawai K1 and found this "Tamborine". But to me it looked like a bell of a sleigh.
So the idea of a little christmas song was born.
I put some Skoulaman bell sound to it and the chords of the Roland Juno and the Korg Lambda. Also some lead of the Moog Little Phatty.
It is not a masterpeace of electronic music but just some fun.
The foto's are token around my home (The Netherlands, 7 meters below sealevel) and in Switzerland (quit some more meters above sealevel).

Enjoy the music and pics and for all Youtubers a Wonderful Christmas.

Greetings Skoulaman"

"The machine is 6 voices and come equipped with full MIDI capabilities. It can function in Mono, Stereo, or even as a 6 voice multi-timbral monosynth. It also has CV/Gate capabilities and can be used as C/V to MIDI converter for up to 6 channels of your old gear. The modulation and routing capabilities on this thing are incredible."
