Cableguys MidiShaper in Beta

You might remember MidiShaper from this video of the Alpha. It is now in Beta.

"Enhance your synths and effects with MidiShaper. Powered by Curve's unique modulations engine, MidiShaper brings Curve's flexible yet powerful LFOs and envelopes to all your favorite synthesizers and effects.

Four LFOs and four envelope generators work together in a sophisticated modulations matrix which can be set up to output modulated pitch, modwheel, channel aftertouch or any MIDI control messages.

MidiShaper's LFOs can be ever-running or retriggered, synced to your host sequencer from a buzzy 1/128 to an expansive 32 bars, set to the played note, or free-running from 0.02 Hz up to the audible range and brain frequency. Just as Curve, MidiShaper features completely editable waveforms for its LFOs.

If your plugin or host sequencer allows for MIDI control, you have a great tool at hand to create vivid, inspiring sounds, and bring the flexibility of Curve to your favorite software plugins or hardware synths.

Have a look at a video introduction, download the public beta, try MidiShaper and report as many bugs as you can:

"I just had to go ahead and mount these babies so I could power them up and give them a spin! This is a very temporary assembly and will not last a week. Please do not attempt anything like this unless your are absolutely sure you know exactly what you're doing.

These patches will be available for download soon at http://gstormelectronica.blogspot.com/
This is another quick-n-dirty demo showing the sonic versatility of M-Audio's new synth, the Venom. All patches are my original creation.

Organ Drive - Distort-y Organ going through a guitar amp
Wavepunkd - Steampunk sound from the Korg Wavestation or PPG Wave
MS-TRON - MS-20 lead used a lot on Ladytron's stuff
USA Muscle - Classic Minimoog lead sound

System 100 - Nice chunky Roland sequence bass
Comeback - Super-chunky Oberheim Matrix bass like on my track "Miranda By The Sea'
Short&Long - Minimoog bass w/ fast attack and swell RE: FSOL 'Calcium'
DeepFM - Entrancing progressive house harmonics
Poly6Bass - Korg Polysix unison bass.

In-Studio Performance: Metric Modulation

YouTube Uploaded by mootbooxle on Jun 22, 2011
Performance comes in at the one minute mark.
"Moot Booxlé LIVE IN THE STUDIO!
I filmed myself recording all the parts to a new composition from my upcoming instrumental record. No editing was done to the parts in post production, except for two punch-ins - one in the bass and one in the Rhodes, which you can see from the video.

The time signatures shift constantly, so I put them up onscreen for those of you who want to follow along at home :)

Instruments played (clockwise from top left): Rhodes Suitcase 73 through National GA920P amp; Synthesizers.com Modular (controlled from the Nord Lead 2x); Yamaha BB450 bass with Thomastik flatwound strings; Nord Lead 2X (also controlling modular synth); DeArmond S73 guitar through AmpliTube 3 (Orange amp model), 1978 Rogers XP-8 drums with 1970 Dyna-Sonic snare, vintage Zildjian A hihats and ride, Paiste Alpha thin crash.

Recorded and mixed in Cubase 4.
Video shot with a Flip Ultra HD camera and edited in Sony Vegas Pro 10.

Circuit Re Bent S-CAT Robot Drone Synth by freeform delusion

S-CAT Drone Synth

My friend brought this round for me to look at to see if I could expand on what S-CAT did. It sounded pretty good anyway. Here's what I've done.

Now 9v battery powered

On/Off Switch

Lime LED (removed Volume pot)

Pitch Control - taken lower for cut up grainy stuff on the noise bend

On/Off Switch for the main mod. When the mod is off this unit is like a little noise generator with beeps, bleeps and tones.. it now has more sounds to play with!

5 toggle switches which loop the normal sounds and the modded sounds so you have a better control over the pitch, buttons and switches.

My friend makes noise:
