Akai MPC App Coming to Retronyms Table Top

"SXSW Announcement: MPC in Tabletop! We're really excited about this one! As you may know, we're working with Akai Pro on the official MPC App for iPad. And now we can announce that the MPC will be available as a device inside Tabletop!"
The MPC on iPad is going to be a blast with classic MPC beat making features, sweet effects, and a killer sampling workflow, and now you'll be able to work this legendary device into your Tabletop sessions!

Possibly the best part is how it works: owners of the stand alone MPC app will automatically unlock the MPC device in Tabletop for free — no need to purchase it twice!

Synchonizing Electronic Musical Equipment and Acoustic Drums
YouTube Uploaded by artoftravelogue on Mar 12, 2012
"The ability to have sequences of different devices play in time together can be a challenge. In this video, I demonstrate how I synchronize various equipment. MIDI and DCB standards can also be easily synched, but are not shown in this video. I use primarily DIN Sync and analog clocks (including the Garfield MiniDoc) for this demonstration. The Casio and the DR110 have been modified to accept a clock input. The solenoid drum triggers were built by me and allow for dynamics (accents) - the roll in the drum pattern is programmed using a pulse LFO with an S/H modulation for random variation. There is more information on modifying clock signals at www.artoftravelogue.com."
Sequential Circuits Programmer comes in at 1:48. Aries modular audio comes in just before that. Watch through to the end for the drums being triggered by the Modcan.

Expert Sleepers ES-3 eurorack module - Silent Way system
YouTube Uploaded by bigcitymusic on Mar 12, 2012
"Here's our first video using the super-slick Expert Sleepers Silent Way system. In this video we are using the ES-3 module with the black acrylic front panel. Lightpipe to control voltage!
Using Ableton Live we called up our Silent Way LFO plugin. The LFO is synced to the master tempo of Live and we wrote in some automation on our Ableton clip., selecting 1/4, 1/8, 1/4. then 16th notes. The drum beat is from Live too.
In this demo we're using an RME Fireface 800, ADAT output directly into the ES-3 module. The sound is the Pittsburgh Oscillator into a Division-6 Filtaire. The Silent Way LFO is controlling the filter's cutoff frequency."
