via this auction "Here is the rare chance you have been waiting for, a black and Orange Arp 2600 with the 3620 keyboard in perfect shape! The halloween color Arp 2600 is very rare and is one of the later versions Arp made, and is model 2601. The 3620 keyboard is the more versatile one with the LFO. Fully functional and has a matching serial number keyboard, which is very hard to find on most 2600's. Amazing Arp 2600 sound that is like nothing else and still better than most synths out there today. Always discovering new sounds and it's a joy to use. Includes original cases to both the 2601 and 3620, original manual and dozens of patch cables and power cable (not pictured). Lightly used in smoke free home studio. See pictures below for more details. Will upload more pictures soon [check the auction], there are a few small scruffs on the outside vinyl, but the front and the graphics look near mint, very bright and clean."

"The DS-50 has 49 keys, 7 basic sounds, an accompaniment section enabling backing tracks to be used, and a great drum machine with 8 different rhythm styles.

Main three solo sounds are
Harpsichord
Marimba
Vibes

There are also four sliders labelled Flute 8' (8 Octave?), Flute 4', Oboe and Violin, and these can be used to adjust the tone and waveforms of the 3 main sounds, or be used to make replications of the appropriate sound e.g. Oboe.

There is also a Vibrato slider to adjust the sounds, a great little effect.

On the accompaniment section there is a Strum/Arpeggio feature which allows strum effects or bass Arpeggios to be played by the machine itself, using the Auto Play or 1-Finger buttons. This allows for great basslines to be played on the bottom 12 notes while leaving the rest of the keyboard for the Solo sound. There is also a 1-Finger chord button, and Record/Playback buttons.

On the Rhythm section there are 8 rhythm styles:
Country/March
Waltz
Swing
Ballad Rock
Disco/Rock
Bossa Nova
Rhumba
Samba

The Rhythm section has Tempo and volume adjust sliders, and has Start/Stop and touch control (pause) buttons."

"I've used the physical Tenori-On W for over two years. I prefer to run use it as a controller and run racks for virtual instruments running in Ableton Live or to turn external hardware rather than using it's internal synth engine. So naturally, after getting TNRi for my iPad I wanted to replicate the same idea.

Luckily, certain synths such as the wonderful Sunrizer (http://beepstreet.com/) can remain running in the background allowing you to switch over to a controller app such as TNRi.

This video shows all this in action. Here is the setup:
1) Start Sunrizer and find or create a patch to your liking
2) In the top-right of Sunrizer is a button labelled 'BCK". Click it and it will start blinking yellow.
3) Click the Home button on your iPad
4) Start TNRi
5) Launch the menu by clicking the status window above the play button
6) Select "Preferences Menu" and turn "Local Control" to "Off".

That's it, now all the MIDI gets pumped through to the background app.

Listen on decent speakers or you won't hear any bass. This is the final part of this four part Serge and Bugbrand groove series - and my first foray into video effects! Holy crap, am I drugs? No actually, just Oolong tea and analogue synths...
