Chase (Midnight Express) by Moroder - performed by Phoenix-Flare
YouTube Published on Jun 4, 2012 by hyperdust7
"Classic synth track by Giorgio Moroder from the film Midnight Express 1978.
I've performed it using Ableton and a Launchpad to trigger the drum loop and synth midi loops. My Doepfer modular is playing the bassline using the A-105 low pass filter, and the flanged pad is a Prophet-08 going through a TC Electronics Nova Modulator pedal. Lead is on my beloved Minimoog OS through a Mad professor Tiny Orange Phaser and an Electro-Harmonic Memory Boy."

Two Make Noise Maths on Acid
Two Make Noise Maths on Acid from sgh on Vimeo.
Silly acid patch using only two Make Noise Maths modules.
Channel 1 of the left Maths is used as waveshaper, channel 4 as oscillator. Channel 1 of the right Maths is the basis for the sequence and channel 4 is used as note trigger.
This patch was inspired by George Cochrane's stepped LFO/seq patch (http://vimeo.com/21577019) and the 3 module challenge on muffwiggler.

The earth below the megacity was not sleeping anymore. Lava took over the subway stations and magma reached the surface. Within minutes the scene was one of utter desolation, vast wastes build from the skyscrapers' remains with glowing lava streams in between and the sky full of emergency rescue spaceships.

1979 Moog Custom Engineering Ad
via Retro Synth Ads where you'll find the full write-up including some background on the different Moog branding at the time."I emailed Roger Luther from the most excellent Moog Archives Web site about the two apparent Moog brands, and here's what he had to say:
'At the time of that ad, sales and marketing were being run out of Norlin in Lincolnwood, but everything else... production, engineering, service, etc., was still done at the Cheektowaga plant (just outside Buffalo). By then orders for modular systems and custom modifications were very few and far between. We were producing fairly good quantities of Minis, Multis, and Polymoogs, and several new models were in the works. Building modular equipment on such a small scale just didn’t fit into a volume production environment, so it was handled in the engineering department... same building, different area. It’s been 34 years, but as I remember, there was really no dedicated Custom Engineering Staff. At that time a lot of the custom work was done by one guy, but all of it was done by engineers and production workers that spent most of their time on other projects.'"
