M-Z3R0 - circuit bent - Yamaha PSS-30 V2
YouTube Published on Sep 14, 2012 by manufacturedZ3R0
"One to fall asleep to maybe?
Admittedly a bit lazy on this one with the whole video fading between drone and noise all the way through. As always it's just a demo to show a few of the kinds of sounds that you can get out of these things. Although i didn't do the usual pretty melody thing at the start there are other pss-30 vids up here you can check out if that's what you want to hear.
Two circuit bent yamaha pss30's. One running into the external input of the other. Anything can be fed into the input but since i have two of these here at the moment i thought i'd pair them up and see what happened."

2012 Circuit Benders Ball Nashville on Kickstarter
"The Circuit Benders’ Ball is a daylong symposium dedicated to the art of the bend, taking place on Saturday, September, 29th. It will feature two stages, over a dozen performers, an interactive art gallery, and workshops. Workshops 10am-7pm. Music 8pm-1am. Our inspirations are the multi-city Bent Festival, The Fuse Factory in Columbus, OH, the eSymposium in Chicago, Illinois, and, of course, Reed Ghazala, the father of circuit-bending!
We have invited circuit bent artists from Tennessee and beyond to perform and lead electronic workshops. The afternoon workshops are open to all ages and all levels of experience. In the evening, experimental musicians and sound artists will perform with circuit bent instruments, custom-made electronics, and/or battery-powered electronic devices. Genres will range from ambient soundscapes to aleatoric noise to EDM influenced grooves.
So: if you are into (or merely curious about) experimental music, making, electronics, art, DIY, hacking, and sonic mayhem, this event is for you!
The all-day event will take place on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 at Brick Factory Nashville, a hackerspace, community workshop, educational facility, art gallery, and performance space.

Korg Micro-preset Modified by Oakley Sound
flickr set By Oakley Sound(click for more)
"Oakley Modded Korg Micro-Preset.
When I got this it was only in a fair condition. The case was broken and some original parts had been replaced. Since it wasn't a perfect specimen I decided to modify it extensively.

The mods were designed to enhance the sound not change it. The basic signal pathway is exactly the same - but the control over the sound is now far greater. The two internal Korg35 filters are freed of their preset characteristics and are both allowed to go their separate ways. The Synthe section now has it's own dual EGs (based on the Oakley Little-EG circuit) while the preset voices can now utilise the original Synthe's EG (VAR) or their original preset envelope (PRESET) with a flick of a switch. The original Synthe EG can now be switched between AD and AR modes.
The internal mains supply was removed and so was the little speaker and amplifier circuitry. This makes the unit lighter, safer to work on (useful when heavily modifying it) and most importantly gets rid of the mains hum that the Micro-preset normally suffers from.
The unit is now powered from an external AC power pack."
