Published on Mar 2, 2013 whitelabelsyndicate·38 videos

"A video overview of my Roland SH-3 which I modified using the KENTON SH-3a CV/Gate/Filter mod. I intentionally left off the filter mod due to the fact that the SH-3a has a different filter than the SH-3.

Also starring in the video:
Boss DR-110 with Din Sync mod
Kilpatrick K2579 Step Sequencer
ALM Pamela's Workout"

EML 400/401 - On The Run

Published on Mar 2, 2013 DJjondent·173 videos

"Based on Pink Floyd's "On The Run" sequence.
Programming the EML is pretty simple.
The vertical row of LED's on the left correspond
to one octave
Led 1 = C
Led 2 = C#
Led 3 = D .....and so on.

The notes are: EGAGDCDE
EGAG are directly below middle C
Thus the sequence code is:5,8,10,8,3,1,3,5

I've restricted the synth to square waves and just tweaked
the envelope generators (Attack-Decay only I'm afraid) and the filter settings.

The EML401 sadly doesn't have a LFO, neither does the EML200.
But EMW's 200 does :-)

So the last part of the video are experments with modulation of the filter using the
EMW's LFO - triangle & pluse waves.

All sounds are from the EML400/401 - no editing/extra effects at all."

Four filters (Doepfer analog modular system)

Published on Mar 2, 2013 GruithuisenCityMan·422 videos

"Hello ! My name is Frederic Gerchambeau. I have made this movie and this music. The music has been made using a Doepfer analog modular system.
The music is based on the many sounds generated by four Doepfer filters at full resonance, two A-120 and two A-106-6, modulating one and each other. So, there is no VCO at all to be heard in this music, only the sounds of four filters playing together.
Enjoy !"

Martin Gore Analogue Solutions Leipzig-S Analogue Synthesizer Sequencer

See the note on Martin Gore below.

"This is the Analogue Solutions Leipzig-S synthesizer/sequencer. There are two VCOs with glide and SubVCOs and a noise mixer which is great for percussion. The filter is a warm fat self oscillating 24db Moog Style with manual control over freq & resonance with keyboard tracking and env 1 or 2 knob. There is a mixer that will allow you to process external sounds. The modulation section has some really cool cross-modulation options for VCO 1&2 plus the filter. The sequencer is where the magic happens and its a true analogue 8 step sequencer with tons of clocking options from the internal LFO to VCO2, plus MIDI Sync and MIDI-CV2, accent and MIDI Key. The envelopes can get really snappy which makes for great percussion and they have a little room on the end for Basses and Leads, both Envelopes can be triggered from MIDI with the flip of a switch. The sequencer can be triggered from 1,2 or both or accent. The analogue VCA can be triggered from Envelope 1 or two, Gate or Thru.

This synthesizer also has some great history. It was used by Martin Gore, who is a member of Depeche Mode. I have photos of him with the synthesizer, but they will not be included in the auction and they are only available for viewing upon request. I dont expect this to drive the auction, but its a pretty cool fact and may add some inspiration to your musical creation."  You can see a pic of Martin Gore and the Leipzig-S here.  I have no idea if this is the same one.  The description above comes from the auction.

Includes much of the information from previous editions. Covers many synthesizer brands both analog and digital. Moog, Sequential Circuits, Oberheim, Roland, Yamaha, Arp, EMS, and many more..."

Gestural Control of Modular Synthesizer via Kinect

Published on Mar 2, 2013

"Custom software enables gestural control using Kinect and PC. Hand movements in the X and Y axes are translated into MIDI signals which generate control voltages, allowing 2 dimensional morphing of waveforms in a "Morphing Terrarium" module, processed through modular moog. Recorded in the superterranian lair of the Robotmakers."
