"Got inspired after watching Tomorrowland. So I tried to make a Dutch electro house track with hardware only. The Akai MPC is used as a drum machine and as a midi sequencer for the other synths. This track is recorded live in one take. Let me know what you think about it!

The antenna represent different parts in the video.
After the thick part in the antenna there are some nice grooves going on together with the deer horn."

"I have been really excited about this filter today. Playing with the algorithm and singing all day, so this test sample has some vocals on it. Oho. :) I know it is rare, I am a bit shy.

Anyway I am not sure what to call the filter. It is a tempo controlled non linear delay I guess, producing some, I think nice sounds.

Oh, and if you are wondering what the graphics are, it is a dimetrodon. I thought it was fitting, no not really but I really wanted to draw one.

Also, off coarse no effects are added afterwards, all in one take. Not that my poor skills should fool anyone but... I am not sure when I will submit. Need to digest this and find some more bugs probably."

New DIY Synthesizer Documentary in The Works

This was the first time I heard of the upcoming film so I followed up with Dmitri Sfc.  It turns out it will be a documentary focused on the makers of Synth DIY.  He is looking for video entries per above as he will likely not be able to travel everywhere.  If you have something to share, reach out to him on Facebook via the link above. Per Dmitri: "SDIYers are encouraged to send me video to be included in the film. the doc will go to Sundance , will be feature length, With a sound track release."

A little bit of trivia, Dmitri was in the 2000 documentary "Groove" (IMDB | Wikipedia) which focused on the San Francisco underground rave scene. That's him on the cover.  His music was also featured in BEND: A Circuit Bending Documentary.

And of course he knows Synth DIY. His work with COA-Modular and Serge designs have been featured here on MATRIXSYNTH numerous times.
