Korg Volca Bass and Keys / iPad (FunkBox app) Old-School House demo by Jordan Passmore
Published on Jan 19, 2014 Jordan Passmore·68 videos
"This demo includes the Korg Volca Keys on bass, the Korg Volca Bass doing the melody and the Funk Box app on the iPad doing the drums (the drum machine it is emulating in this case is the Elektron Machinedrum). I created this demo to propose that the roles of these two Volcas could easily be switched up and actually I would goes as far to say I find the Keys better at bass duties and the Bass better for leads/melodies. The iPad, which is running the FunkBox app, is connected to an E-mu XMidi 2x2 USB MIDI device that outputs MIDI clock to the two Volcas. The Volcas are both running off their internal sequencer. The Volca Bass is connected to an old Washburn A-09 Analog Delay. All devices were mixed on a Bogen MX6A-T small-format mixer and sent straight to my interface (No EQ involved).
All patterns and sequences were created by Jordan Passmore."

Yamaha CS-50 Analog Synthesizer
Published on Jan 19, 2014 MrFirechild·39 videos
"All sounds from the 1976 Yamaha CS-50 !
The Yamaha CS-50 is the baby brother to the mighty CS-80. Actually it has almost exactly the same Voice cards as the CS-80. However the baby brother has only 4 Voice cards where the CS-80 has 16 ! Also the CS-50 is lacking the velocity polyphonic aftertouch keyboard so even though the core sound is similar the CS-80 has a more organic and dynamic sound because of the better keyboard. The Kenton MIDI gives the CS-50 the ability to play with MIDI velocity for example controlling the filter depth. Unfortunately you can´t assign MIDI aftertouch to the CS-50 Touch Response section but only to the modulation section."

Feminine Prerogative-Based Control Voltage Generator
via Chez Doc
"The FPBCVG is really a just a big patch that has been integrated and optimized in one module. The basic premise is a sample and hold triggered by a very complex train of pulses. The triggering pulse train is produced by recursive stages of sample/hold, each of which are brought out on the panel. Thus , the outputs get more complex from left to right on the panel. The output waveform is designed to model [my] wife’s earring selection process in the last 10 minutes before leaving Mabuse Manor for a theoretical soiree’"
