Chamber of Hellos (Wire Train) iPhone 6 Plus Garageband Cover

Published on Sep 25, 2014 Francis Kiko Navarro (TelevatorMuzak)

"Here's my latest cover using iPhone 6 Plus Garageband. It's a cool song from Wire Train, Chamber of Hellos. It is one of the first songs I learned in high school, I thought it would be interesting to relive it... by doing it on an iPhone.

All instruments are native to the app. Mic used is a Blue Yeti and Apple EarPods.

Notice: No iPhones were bent during the making of this video. :-)"

How to Sync Roland TR-909 with Eurorack Modular to Jam

Published on Sep 24, 2014 bigcitymusic

"*Take the MIDI Out cable from the Roland TR-909 into the Mutable Instruments Yarns MIDI to CV module’s MIDI In.
*After powering up the Eurorack synth scroll right from the Yarns Layout (LA) setting to the Tempo (TE) setting.
*While in the Tempo (TE) settings, keep scrolling the encoder left until the display reads EX (External Input). After this step, starting and stopping the Roland TR-909 will start and stop the Yarns MIDI Clock.
*Scroll from the Tempo (TE) settings to the Input Clock Division (IN) settings if you wish to change the Yarns MIDI clock division rate. For this video we chose quarter note divisions."

VGM #16 - To Zanarkand (Final Fantasy X)

Published on Sep 24, 2014

"This is a song that is both a request, and something I have been thinking about doing for awhile.

The original is basically just a piano piece, and as iconic and beautiful as it is, I wanted to move away from that slightly in my rendition. So, I reduced the arpeggios into some jazz chords on the EP, and then moved the melody to the melodica (and later the synth). I wanted to keep some movement, so I layered synths with both the analog four and the prophet 08 to create a nice layer of atmosphere. I hope you enjoy it!"
