Introducing BEB - A New Eurorack Modular Manufacturer

You'll find their website here.

Their first product is iModular, a euroorack module that allows you to integrate an iOS device with your modular system.  You'll note two iModular modules in the image.  One has the optional iPhone mount.  The iPhone is running the iModular app and is connected to the module via USB.

"Now you can integrate your iPhone/iPad directly into your modular synthesizer, with Control Voltage and Gate Control capabilities..."

BEB is 2015's first new manufacturer featured on MATRIXSYNTH!  Be sure to see my New Years Post for a list of new makers in 2014.  For those that have already read it, there are three new updates to the post.

" Here for sale is rare vintage analog synth from Japan - Akai VX600. It is compact and complex analog synth. Can be compared to Oberheim Expander, due to complex modulation matrix.
It has strong and full sounding cem3374 as vco, and it is true vco. You need about 5-10 minutes to wait after power on, to go in tune, because its true vco architecture. So, its knobs on the face panel just
working with special wind controller from Akai, but as i know there are some info on the web, to modify it to ordinary synth knobs, to make realtime analog madness. Its synth parameters can be controlled by Midi CC, via modulation matrix, very cool feature for synchronization with your cubase or so. It is 6 voice polyphonic and 6 parts multytimbral, so you can drive 6 independent monosynths from it in real time.
You'll need to make just one additional cord with 13-din plug for this. So overal it is good sounding mashine, some sort of mix between Roland mks80 and Sci prophet 5 in its sound character. It is in nice cosmetic shape, just ussual micro dings in some places. And of course it is in fully working condition. I install common euro ac outlet on its back, so you can use any ussual power cord for this.
Backlight of screen is dead, it is known problem of this mashines, nonetheless screen is easy readable. You can get new backlight for the screen from - backlight4you.com"

synth-Q for iPad Released

iTunes: synth-Q - Never Be Normal

From the maker of 76 Synthesizer

"Requires iOS 7.0 or higher

Introducing the queuing synthesizer for iPad.

Synth-Q has been designed from the ground up with the touchscreen interface in mind. Synth-Q is a subtractive synthesizer with a customizable interface. A unique module queuing system, resizable multi-octave keyboard, and intuitive cable-based modulation controls offer a truly dynamic music-making experience for iOS.

Each part of the synth is separated into units called modules. Each module snaps into place along a scrollable surface above the keyboard.

Control the number of modules shown on the screen at any time. Control which modules appear for each sound.

Tap a button on the module menu to launch a module and add it to the queue.

Drag a module up and release to remove it from the queue.

Drag a module down to move it within the queue.

Add variability to your sound by connecting different modules using virtual cables.

Alter the sound with synth-Q's movable keys.
