"The AKAI S1000KB is a 16-voice 61-note keyboard sampler with velocity and aftertouch sensitivity. This one is a rarity, and is powered at 110v."

Only one other has been featured on MATRIXSYNTH here. It's fascinating from a design perspective.  First the huge size of it.  Next the curves vs the more angular design Akai is known for.  Then you have white switches reminiscent of the Roland Jupiter-8 or SCI Prophet-5 and Oberheim OB switches, a number pad and four classic Akai metal knobs. I'm curious what the inside looks like and if all that space is needed. Fascinating piece of synth keyboard history.

"Custom made double neck Starr Labs Midi Guitar. Based on an standard Starr Labs Mini Z, a second neck was added so it could be played as a Midi Chapman Stick (a Grand Stick: six strings per hand instead of five), for a total range of nearly 8 octaves (grand piano range). The color pattern in the keys follows the standard tunning of a Chapman Stick (4ths in one neck / 5ths in the other neck). MIDI and USB connections. Pitch bend / mod joystick.
