Friday, June 5th: Moog maestro Matt Sharp and his band, The Rentals, will perform at Los Angeles' El Rey Theatre in a concert presented by Moog Music & Golden Voice. Moog will be on-site at the show with an interactive synthesizer installation and plenty of analog gear and goodies.

The Rentals hit the road this month in support of their 2014 full-length album, Lost In Alphaville, released on the Polyvinyl Record Co. The album is a landmark return from songwriter Matt Sharp, who assembled another great and eclectic collection of musicians to create, 'a wonderfully endearing and otherworldly future-past melancholy vibe, and a bevy of memorable and infectious hooks', said the esteemed Jim DeRogatis for WBEZ."

"A hip hop type downtempo beat. This patch uses the CFM wave rectifier. Two LMVCO's are being sequenced by a Tiktok and Mixman then blended together with the rectifier. All sounds from the box. Effects are a Meet Maude delay and Roland RE-20 pedals."

"I just completed a bank of sounds for the upcoming Sequential Circuits Prophet 6. I’m not sure how many of my sounds will make it into the factory preset banks at this point, so I’ve got my fingers crossed… Either way, I’m still very happy to have been a part of this project. The Prophet 6 is a wonderful sounding synth and a blast to program! I hope you enjoy this audio demo of my work…"
