Landscape HC-TT Human Controlled Tape Transport

Cool little tape device from Landscape. Click through for additional details and some demos.

"The HC-TT is a compact cassette manipulation device which allows you to play a cassette with your hands similarly to how you scratch a vinyl record. Sound will only be produced while your hand is turning the single black knob. By turning this knob you are rotating the cassette spindle moving the tape across the internal tape head. The knob plays a regular cassette in the forward direction and a homemade cassette loop in either direction. The blue switch is a momentary mute for both stereo channels. There is no motor in this device. It does not record, only outputs pre-recorded audio from a cassette."

"SPECIFICATIONS:

Etched aluminum enclosure (4.7" x 3.7" x1.5")

Large "playback" knob (directly moves a regular cassette in the forward direction and a homemade cassette loop in either direction)

Cassette tape opening along front edge (lift playback knob, slide in tape, reseat knob shaft into cassette spindle)

Blue momentary mute switch with spring return

Stereo L/R volume knobs

1/4" outputs (Stereo L/R)

1/8" outputs (Stereo L/R)

9v power supply

Shipped with one randomly selected old cassette tape"

Creating sounds with the Moog Sub 37 is something natural for me. From the first day I got this little monster in 2014, I could not resist experimenting with it and applying all my knowledge of sound design to it.

As a beta tester for Moog, I’ve been building these presets while testing their new OS and software editor.

The result is a collection of 35 presets containing Bass, Leads, Percussions, FX and other amazing sounds!. Some of these sounds have been created to be also played with the modulation wheel and aftertouch. If you’d like to experiment beyond and also learn the logic behind, these presets are a good starting point for it.

Check out the video to get a more accurate idea of how they sound like.

And please, feel free to leave your thoughts about them and suggest presets you would like me to do in the near future.

Maestro Phase Shifter Demo w/ A Synthesizer

Published on Jan 8, 2016 gstormelectro

"All audio and video by G-Storm Electro c.2016
http://gstormelectronica.blogspot.com/
http://soundcloud.com/gstormelectro

Demo of the Maestro PS-1B Phase Shifter. This is the rarer version with the Variable Speed knob. The knob does exactly what the switches do, with the ability to set the speed anywhere in between. The knob only works when the slow phase switch is set. As the switches OR knob settings are changed you will notice a smooth and gradual transition in speed.

The synthesizer is the Korg reissue ARP Odyssey. If you're interested in the patches hopefully the footage shows the patch settings to some degree. I added a small amount of delay for stereo widening. During one section I use the Moroder delay trick to change simple 8th notes to stereo-panned 16-th notes, and then apply the phaser. I was recording levels pretty hot, sorry there is some clipping in parts of the audio.

Thanks for watching and if you haven't done so already just go ahead and subscribe."
