"Classic vintage digital synth used by Dave Greenfield for many live shows between approx 1998 - 2006.

This was Dave's backup JD800 which has seen many miles of road and gigs. Being his 'number 2' it is in surprisingly good cosmetic condition due to the fact that although it traveled to every show it rarely came out of the flight case. It was, however, used many times by Dave and as you can see by the pics still contains all his programmed patches for various songs for the live set with that keyboard rig.

PLEASE NOTE
Over time, however, it has now developed some faults:
It has 6x dead/sticky keys which is a common symptom of Roland synths of that era.
One of the edit faders (TVA Envelope Release Time 4) has now become temperamental when trying to select a value.
A couple of the buttons need a harder press than they used to but still do work.

All these faults are mechanical and can be repaired if someone is willing to put the effort in but it does still function perfectly over MIDI."

"The low beating sound of the machines "heart" echoes through the hallways as it marches tword an unknown task. Always working, analyzing what should take priority over other tasks, scheduling them all in order. Data, information logs, past backed up memories, stochastic analysis, deep subroutines, all giving the appearance of a life with purpose, living forever as a slave to the very vessel that makes it's possible to exist in the first place. Always exploring, recording and looking for signs of something else, someone else. The expanse of space seems infinite, so full and also empty.

"A simple 8-step sequence feeds a single Verbos Complex Oscillator, AM modulated by it's modulator oscillator, going through an Intellijel Polaris filter ending op in the Verbos Pan & scan. A second sequencer (Audio Damage Sequencer 1) is used as Gate provider, triggering two envelopes. Two Expert Sleepers Disting modules modulate the oscillator and the play order of the AD Sequencer 1."

Dreadbox EREBUS vs Strymon BlueSky - Ethereal jam session

I had a little bit of a mishap the other day... i ordered a mooer shimverb on ebay, and it got lost in transit ... being really really bummed out about this i went to my local store to check out some other pedals, and to my surprise they had the entire strymon lineup in stock. I already have the timeline.. and have been gunning for the big sky for ever since i got it, still wanted to give this one a try in the store and fell immediately in love with the lush sound.

Also, a new synth in my setup is the Dreadbox erebus.. so why not hook them up and go full tilt ethereal ambient jam ? :)

so its ONLY, the erebus, passing through the jomox (which is in bypass mode).. stereo signal out from the strymon onto 2 track.. the strymon is set to reverb mode Room / Modulation, with no pre-delay starting off at decay 3 o'clock, mix on 12.30 high damp on full and low damp on 12.

At the end i crank up the decay to almost full tilt...
