"Quick jam with the modular and the Roli Seaboard Rise. Sorry for the bad shot. The other camera's video file was corrupted, and the one camera takes a dive in the middle. I didn't want the whole thing to go to waste so I'm throwing it up anyways.

Patch:
Roli controls Braids into Rings and then Clouds. XY pad controls timbre and color of Braids, as well as brightness of Rings. Clouds heavily modulated by ADDAC501 into WMD SSM.

Piston Honda mk II into Polivoks VCF, Veils, Phonogene and then Wow and Flutter. Filter, Veils and Phonogene modulated by ADDAC501/WMD SSM. Sequenced by Turing Machine quantized by ADDAC 207.

Subcon Vampire into Ultrafold, Polaris, uVCA, Veils, and 4MS DLD. Sequenced by Popcorn (fed clocks from Little Nerd/Pamela's workout). Polaris FM'd by Vampire. DLD modulated by ADDAC501/WMD SSM.

Verbos Harmonic Oscillator into Ripples. Sequenced by Rene and modulated by Expert Sleepers/Silent Way.

Kick from Peaks into Malgorythm, modulated by ADDAC 501/WMD SSM.

Snare from Peaks into Malgorythm and then Clouds #2, modulated by ADDAC501/WMD SSM.

Blinds is in there somewhere mangling CVs. Envelopes from Intellijel Quadra and dual ADSR."

Alesis Andromeda A6 Patch Review - Preloaded User Bank

"As described in the opening, I've had the A6 for a while but only recently got it up and mostly running again. Lots of phantom knob changing problems. ("SHOW MORE" for more commentary below)

Despite what I say in the opening, there are actually 21 patches demoed...User Patch 000 through 020.

The five things that make this synth so awesome sounding, ignoring even the MASSIVE modulation possibilities:
1. 24db and 12db filters that can run serial or parallel - really lets you sculpt the harmonic content of the sound down to a gnat's ass.
2. Unison Mode - with 16 voices, you can do a unison 2 voice patch (giving you 4 oscillators per note), and have some very lush chords, still having 8 notes of polyphony to work with.
3. Ring mod - very similar to the Yamaha CS-80, the best brassy patches on this thing incorporate the ring mod, to varying subtle and not-so-subtle degrees.
4. The pre and post filter mixing sections - lets you entirely control the oscillators amounts before and after being filtered. Never thought this was that useful until I started breaking down some of the patches I really liked, and found it really lets you move so beyond just a standard LP-filtered sounding synth.
5. 16-note polyphony!! Nothing else analog can touch it (don't know of a single analog keyboard with as much or more polyphony). Sure you can daisy chain 3 Dave Smith Prophet 8s for 24 voices of polyphony, but that's about your cheapest option.

Pluses?
It really does sound phenomenal. I would say its real strength is pads. It does bass and leads fairly well too, but I have other synths that do bass and leads as well as or better than the A6. I would say I DON'T have another analog synth that does pads as well.

Minuses?
It is intimidatingly deep. Things that would be quite simple to program on other synths, often take more steps, and time just to find out WHERE it is in the menu-driven operating system. Yeah, there are fortunately lots of knobs, but behind every knob action, there is usually a menu needing attention. Trying to understand even how a patch is programmed is like tracing a wire diagram...it's do-able, but tiring after a while. And that's when it's working perfectly with no self-changing, phantom knob problems. MASSIVELY frustrating when values just start changing by themselves.

"I haven't up-loaded a patch video for a couple of weeks now as I have been building a live set for a gig that I have at the end of the month.

To remedy that i've made a quick jam of the set as it is progressing as a document of the process.

The set consists of Eurorack modular synthesizer, Clavia G2 modular synthesizer, Eventide Space, Boss Re20, run through a small Mackie mixer. It is all sequenced by the amazing Sequentix Cirklon sequencer."

ROLAND JUNO 60 mit TUBBUTEC JUNO 66 MODIFICATION

"the condition of the Juno 60 is just great.

-All the faders and knobs cleaned.
-All the keys working perfectly.
-All the voices are tuned to factory state
-Recapped power supply
-Chorus has super minimal noise !!! It is impossible to hear. Usually a problem with many Juno's that chorus is noisy. But in this machine, almost nothing you cannot hear !

As well as cosmetically, for its age, in great condition. Please refer to the photographs.

This Juno 60 comes with professionally installed Tubbutec Juno 66 modification.

While to installing the mod looks as easy as changing the CPU , it took almost 4-5 hours. (And costed me 200€ for the technic guy)
This modification turns Juno 60 into a very capable synthesiser.

It has MIDI IN & OUT ports

The great features of this modification are (there are lots of) ; Chord Memory, Plays modes, a step sequencer, detune, arpeggiator sync to midi and much more.

Apart from those, also Pitch Bend modification installed which was stated as "optional" on Tubbutec manual
This was a very difficult mod, because pitch bend had to be tuned. And its done professionally !

With this feature, you can control the pitch bend via midi using external keyboards, sequencers, DAW etc etc.
