VCOADSR Piano Phase minus Piano - Bells N Whistles Crackles N Pops 2016

Published on Jul 9, 2017 DivKidVideo

"Here's VCOADSR live from Ross Lamond's Bells N Whistles Crackles N Pop event back from November 2016. Bit of a 'from the archives' vibe with this as I captured it all at the event (obviously) and then haven't had chance to get to it with other work taking priority but ... VCOADSR gave us a treat with his eurorack modular take on Piano Phase but minus the Piano.

His set up looks to include a TipTop Audio Circadian Rhythm, Orthogonal Devices ER101 and ER102 expander, Audio Damage ODIO, Pamela's Workout from ALM Busy Circuits, Humpback filter from GOD's BOX and WMD PDO, ALM Busy Circuits Beast's Chalkboard, Make Noise Pressure Points, TipTop Audio Z-DSP and the new Richie Hawtin DJ Mixer alongside the Elektron Analog Heat. There's also a 1U set of tile modules and a few others I can't see under the tightly packed and tidy cable work."

Buchla Easel Manual Patch 17 & Richard Nixon

Published on Jul 8, 2017 Ritchie DeCarlo

"Todd Barton's series of videos on the patches from the original manual are very inspirational! I have been experimenting with some of them & starting thinking about this #17 patch. What if this were 1973 & I just got a new easel with this manual? This is probably something I would have done....."

Casio RZ-1 House

Published on Jul 8, 2017 Zachary Berry

"Sampled some chords from FM8 into the RZ-1 and built this around it. The 505 is triggering the Casio since you always get a metronome beep when you tap write on the Casio itself. Also using a Boss CE-5 chorus pedal and a Hall of Fame reverb. Video recorded off a little JVC VHS camcorder."

Ambient '97 - Akai MPC Live

Published on Jul 8, 2017 Cave Way

"Non offensive electronic music channeled straight from the 90's, specifically 97. Sampled some birds in my back yard, some D1 in my office, found some stock video of pigeons, the rest is Saturday night."

Nord Lead 2x : Modular Style Sounds

Published on Jul 8, 2017 100 Things I Do

"Back before I had a VCS3 I found that my Nord Lead 2x could make some pretty convincing modular sounds.

The Mod Envelope and 2 LFO's can be routed to some interesting places and, he Amplifier has an incredibly long release time allows you just to play a note and noodle. Being that you are in a slow release the whole the sound slowly evolves even if you don't touch anything.

I added some annotations to show how the patch is changing the oscillators and some of the choices I made along the way to keep the modular vibe going as long as I could. I hope you can use some of these ideas!"

Rheyne - Sequenced Jam #43 (Moog Mother-32, Moog DFAM, Make Noise Eurorack)

Published on Jul 8, 2017 Rheyne

"A variation of a previous patch with some lighting added using Ableton and Max for Live. All notes are triggered by the synths, no MIDI is being sent from Ableton. Lighting is triggered from the inputs on the Expert Sleepers ES-8. Reverb is from a Strymon BigSky, and audio was recorded straight from the mixer."
