TIPTOP AUDIO: MINIMAL TECHNO

TIPTOP AUDIO: MINIMAL TECHNO from Station 252 on Vimeo.

"Minimal techno jam using mostly Tiptop Audio modules. Trying different ways to have two parallel sequences. Z8k is great for that: running two separately reset sequences on Z8000 - vertical 7 step is playing ONE loaded with DOTS sound filtered by Z2040 and opened by a couple of Z4000, horizontal 8 step is playing Z3000 (saw) running through Tiptop Fold Processor and R*S VQVCF again governed by a couple of Z4000s.

Also features:

BD808

ONE: Hi Hat sound (off DOTS) going through Roland Demora

ONE: Ghost snare sound - running through reverbs and delay - no dry sound

Long reverb: Z-DSP: Halls OPf Valhalla ROOM

Short reverb: Z-DSP: eVerb 80s Verb 2

Delay: Alright Devices Chronoblob (feedback through Tiptop Z2040, output through WMD SSF Multi Mode Filter (Hi Pass)

Gates and triggers sequenced by Tioptop Circadian Rhythms and Trigger Riot

"The first 25 Patches I have made for the Novation PEAK., all custom and made from scratch. It's a very powerful Synth and susrprises more and more I use it. A bit menu'ish at times, but nothing too bad. Sounds great though, not really thought about Analogue vs Digital..."

TINRS Tuesday Algorithmic Sequencer

Published on Jul 18, 2017 Perfect Circuit Audio

"For this patch, we used the TINRS Tuesday as the main pitch information for a Mutable Instruments Braids. The output from Braids is then fed into the AJH Transistor ladder filter, (mostly for when Braids is using a rich harmonic timbre,) and then into the Make Noise Optomix for a VCA. The Gate and Accent outputs on the Tuesday are used to trigger two envelopes from Maths, the first channel to control the volume of the signal (patched into the control input on the Optomix,) and the second to open up the Transistor ladder filter. Pressure Points, from Make Noise, is used as a modulation source for the X, Y and ! inputs on the Tuesday, providing a tactile switch, or a sequenced set of values, (clocked by the EOC output on the second Maths channel.) Finally, the main out is fed into the Chronoblob delay, from Alright Devices, for a little space an tempo synchronized delay.

Tuesday, from TINRS, is an algorithmic melody sequencer for Eurorack modular synthesizers. It utilizes 13 different algorithms, with two tweakable parameters per algorithm as well as a ! Control, which decides the note density. Tuesday can be clocked internally, or synchronized to an external clock, for ease of melodic and rhythmic patches.

New 3HP DIY DSP Euro Module from DSP Synthesizers

via Jan of DSP Synthesizers

"I got tired of eurorack and put it on hold for a while.

But what happens when 8bitmixedtape has this great audio bootloader?
It inspired me to make the 3HP DSP module and got me hooked again.

The module works the same as my dsp-Host.
3 analog inputs. 2 of them with attenuators and one audio output.

So whats so different with this one?
It can be reprogrammed through the audio out jack.
Without a programmer!

Just play a wavefile from a phone, MP3 player or your PC with the firmware and it’s a new module.

Use the Arduino IDE to make your own programs or use the downloadable editor to make VCOs, filter, delays or anything you can imagine and reprogram the module with an audio cable.

It is of course open-source and all info including code and PCBs for the Phase Distortion Oscillator can be found at:

https://janostman.wordpress.com/the-3hp-paperface-euro-modules/

Many thanks to the 8bitmixedtape crew for the support and letting me join.

Cheers"

New playlist of Brighton Modular Meet performances. You can find the previous playlist here. I actually added this one to that post as well, so you can hop over there for both in one post if you like. "Manipulating a self generating patch (inspired by Todd Barton’s ‘Krell’ patch) on the Buchla 200e, with additional noises coming from the Cocoquantus and processing via Eventide Space effects.

Simon’s soundtrack to the radio drama, Akiha Den Den, is released on July 28th. Radio interference, snatches of intercepted broadcasts, codes, tones, signals and other haunting sounds from the wireless feature heavily alongside the soundtrack conjured up on an array of synthesisers including the Buchla 200e Electric Music Box and EMS VCS3. Occasionally the voices of Akiha Den Den's inhabitants burn through the white noise offering a glimpse of their tangled patchbay like story.

Released by Castles in Space on clear vinyl, the physical package includes an Akiha Den Den booklet (designed by Nick Taylor) and Bonus CD filled with over 70 minutes of Buchla Modular, EMS, drones, dramatics, cassette 4 track abuse and noise from the Akiha Den Den radio series.

DreamsOfWires - Moog Minitaur (with Minifooger delay)

Published on May 18, 2015 DreamsOfWires

"Just messing about, but I wanted to sweep through some of the sounds I like best from the Minitaur, and see how well it pairs up with the Minifooger analog delay, without any reverb.
No additional effects were used, and it was recorded into an Olympus portable audio recorder. Genome (sequencer) on the iPad is supplying the pattern to the Minitaur."
