Published on Mar 21, 2019 Dziam Bass

"Hello Guys.
Today we have an unboxing and demo movie with ST Mix and Kickall on the newest kick drum module from Befaco.
The first 30 seconds are the initial unboxing rest just a demo without talking because we wanted to show the extensive sounds coming from this Kickall which basically will be located in every song. from soft to hard kick in style 909 and long decay 808 sounds plus much more like shape features additional VCA after the out plus the possibility of adding accent it's just part of what the name says - just kick it all.
Kickall module and the second ST MIX 4 channel stereo mixer with an Auxilliar input and is also compatible with the Hexmix system and can be internally connected to the hexmix module to add the STMIX output to the main mix in only 6HP.
Kickall is a 6HP compact synth voice that needs a big fat Kick sound: A stable VCO that tracks a violent wave shaper. The module has been designed with a kick synthesis patch in mind: VCO to VCA with an envelope to open the VCA and another one to change VCO pitch. As addition a CV controlled waveshapper has been added to the VCO and an extra VCA at the end of the signal path to control the volume of the sound to act as kind of an accent.all Befaco modules can be purchased assembled but also the whole offer includes DIY.more full info here on Befaco site : https://www.befaco.org/en/"

WHERE'S THE MINIMOOG!?

Published on Mar 21, 2019 once upon a synth

"Look mum no computer jokingly challenged us to make a song using this footage, so I couldn't resist. This was some live stream footage from Thomann Synth Reactor. Thanks to Marc Doty for expressing his passion for the Minimoog and Simon the Magpie for the brief appearence. #TSR19"

Some synth humor for you today. :) We need some "WHERE'S THE MINIMOOG!?" Synth Ts.

Here's what Marc had to say about it:

"You know, if German beer companies really cared about visiting Americans, they would label their innocent-looking lager bottles with warnings in red letters that are big enough for old people to read that say "Easy there, tiger... there is more alcohol than you're used to in this." But they don't. So, plainly, we have German beer companies to thank for this outcome."

Queen's Radio Ga Ga on the Baloran The River synthesizer

Published on Mar 20, 2019 Sean Christopher Evoking Emotion with Synthesizers

"In 1984 Radio Ga Ga was my favorite song. I would listen to it over and over and over....until my parents intervened. LOL I created this cover of Queen's masterpiece using the Baloran The River synthesizer. EVERY sound other than the drums and Freddie's vocals come from The River. I used Cubase to mix the piece and tried to use only stock plugins to create the vibe or the original song. The only other real difference is that I slowed the piece down about 6 bpm, as my synth version just sounded better to my ears slowed down a bit. Other than that though, I tried to stay as trues as possible to the original track."
