Pics of the Inside of a Waldorf Quantum
These were spotted and sent in via Soviet Space Child, shared by d33psp33d on Gearslutz who had the following to say:
"ok wow, after buying 3 sets of torx wrenches, over 90 pieces I can confirm that the Quantum uses T10 Torx for the small screws and T30 for the big ones that support the underbar. You should be able to goto harware store and get exact sizes rather than piece it out on kits on amazon. I must say the kits were all cheap. I spent $50 all in and the tools will prob come in handy down the line. now for the pics of the internals!! So much less complex than my poly analogs, guess that should be common since but wow what a dif..."

Pittsburgh Modular's Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator Modular 400

"Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator Modular 400 purchased new by Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers to test with our products. We assembled and used this unit on our test bench for a few weeks before it was packed up to resell.
The sale includes the Modular 400, original teenage engineering patch cables, original manual, original assembly tool, upgraded power supply installed by Pittsburgh Modular(see pic), original battery pack (wires clipped and removed to install upgraded power supply), Pittsburgh Modular power adapter. A new Modular 400 does not ship with a power adapter. We upgraded the power supply and will included the necessary power adapter.
The assembly process requires bending the aluminum panels to form the case. The bending causes the yellow powder coating to flake off at the bends (see pic). This is a byproduct of assembly.
The synthesizer does not include the original packaging. Teenage Engineering designed the packaging to self destruct as it is opened. The Modular 400 will ship fully assembled. This will save you 4 hours.
The synthesizer will be double boxed and shipped from Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers."

Rare Ionic Performer for Sale - EMS VCS3 + Putney In Custom Enclosure w/ Keyboard

via Vemia
"Rare Ionic Performer Synthesiser and Modulator produced in 1973. Basically similar to a VCS3 + Putney keyboard but uses a series of pushbuttons, instead of patch pins, to route sounds and voltages. It's capable of producing some very complex sounds but definitely requires work from a good synth tech to get its full potential. The ring modulator and one of the tremolo channels is not working. VCO tracking needs adjusting. Power supply was rebuilt in 2008. Cosmetically it is in superb condition for a 46 year old synth."

Linnstrument w/ Make Noise 0 Coast
So I bought a Linnstrument... Published on Apr 17, 2019 Synth Diy Guy
"...at Synthplex. I even got it signed by the man himself, Roger Linn :)
Honestly I haven't been able to do much else but play it since I got back from Burbank, it's just so inspiring for someone like me.
This is a simple patch, the 0 Coast controlled by the LS. Pressure affects timbre and amplitude.
Reverb courtesy of Befaco´s Spring.
Anyways, I'm back to building and editing, so you should see some more overview videos pop up soon!
Thanks and stay noisy :)

Have been writing a lot more software of late so less brain space & creative energy for making music but felt the need to sit down and make something no matter what this evening. Love this little setup - I can make a lot of noise with very little gear - thinking that this is going to be the rough basis for a live setup (+ the Microfreak I may have accidentally pre-ordered)"
Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner performed on the Baloran The River synthesizer
Published on Apr 17, 2019 Sean Christopher Evoking Emotion with Synthesizers
"Richard Wagner's epic piece, 'Ride of the Valkyries' was done on the Baloran The River synthesizer and multitracked using Steinberg's Cubase 10 Pro. Other than The River, only reverb and delay FX were used. I have to admit that this piece was very challenging, but I tried to stay as true as possible to the original piece. The River has seriously been like synth 'Valhalla' to me, and it was a pleasure spend the last week putting this together.
The 'Ride of the Valkyries' (German: Walkürenritt or Ritt der Walküren) refers to the beginning of act 3 of Die Walküre, the second of the four operas constituting Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen. As a separate piece, the 'Ride' is often heard in a purely instrumental version, which may be as short as three minutes. Together with the 'Bridal Chorus' from Lohengrin, the 'Ride of the Valkyries' is one of Wagner's best-known pieces."
