Moog Matriarch: Exploring Stereo Delay and Modulation

Published on Sep 26, 2019 Getsemani Music

"Put on your finest headphones as we explore the new Moog Matriarch. Today we'll focus on experimenting with the built in stereo delay and modulation modules. This demo uses no external effects and no special patching, just using the Matriarch's default internal wiring. We ended up with some interesting spacy effects, and sounds ranging from the delicate to shredding with some reminiscence of Emerson's modular."

Chris Martirano shares an incredible performance on the incredible Nord Grand Stage Piano at Kraft Music.

The Nord Grand combines Nord's award-winning performance features, hands-on user interface, and an advanced triple-sensor hammer-weighted keybed to provide an extraordinary playing experience. The triple sensors track the movements of the hammers rather than the keys, delivering the smooth and dynamic touch of an acoustic grand piano. Compatible with the Nord Piano Library and Nord Sample Library 3.0, the Nord Grand offers a wide selection of world-class sounds. Other features include Advanced String Resonance, Nord Triple Pedal with Dynamic Pedal Noise, and effects that can be assigned freely to the Piano or Sample Synth sections."

Mutable Instruments' Braids - Synthesis Models Series #35

Published on Sep 26, 2019 Omri Cohen

"So this is the last episode in this series about Braids. I have to say, it was fun, and I really fell in love with this module. In this one, the model was a sort of modem sounds, and I've created this weird rhythmic melodic patch. Was fun :) Anyway, I hope to start the next series soon, this time, all about Plaits.

Roland 510, Mother 32, Pico Logic, Z-DSP etc: Logic Dance

Published on Sep 26, 2019 Seen From Space

"Two new modules get their first outing: Roland 510 synth voice and TipTop Z-DSP effects.

Copper Traces Seek drives the 510, but made unpredictable by Pico Logic with 2 inputs from the Octocontroller. A different logical output triggers an ADSR modulating the 510 filter, such that it beats against the logic controlling the pitch. I occasionally pause Seek, and you can hear the envelope still being triggered unpredictably. Audio then goes into the Z-DSP.

The Mother 32 also gets a bit of logic from Pico Logic A to mess with its sequencing, then audio into the effects on my DSI Pro 2 and a touch of Lexicon reverb."

GEOSynths Sound Design - Top Ten Tips - 1. Oscillator Blending

Published on Sep 26, 2019 GEOSynths

"This is important as the Goal of using multiple Oscillators is to create a new Waveshape from various others, the "Sum of its Parts" so to speak. You can create a variety of tonal changes over time, just by blending the Volume, changing the Shape and Pitch of the Oscillators, way before even using the Filter."
