"Mined from the shadowy halls of minimal techno and the introspective and surreal contrasts of dark cinema, Inner Dimensions delivers 120 patches ranging from unfolding rhythmic arpeggios to moody textural pianos, deep bass sequences and moving analog leads to tonal atmospheric pads and shimmering noise fields.

Inner Dimensions leverages Falcon's wide range of oscillators, effects, and modulation to create spaces from stirring and dreamlike to cold and urban, with a wide range of timbres from dirty electronic to natural and melodic. Inner Dimensions offers an inspiring collection of reflective and brooding sounds perfect for minimal dance, scoring, and the darker sides of modern electronic.

Each of the instruments in Inner Dimensions is designed to be expressive and playable, providing helpful controls and macros allowing you to sculpt your sound and create dynamic, expressive performances. As with all Falcon expansions, you have the ability to dig beneath the surface into each sound's patch structure, to manipulate and reshape it in any way you see fit.

The extraordinary sound quality of Falcon is evident throughout this collection, utilizing numerous synthesis and sound design techniques and a robust use of effects and modulators. Sounds can all be quickly previewed, edited, layered or performed with nearly limitless variation thanks to Falcon's semi-modular architecture.

MADE FOR FALCON

The Inner Dimensions expansion leverages the advanced synthesis capabilities and software architecture of Falcon, which sports 16 oscillators, over 90 effects and a fast and intuitive interface that adeptly handles both basic tasks and deep instrument design. All presets have been programmed with macros which provide the user with easy access to the key parameters of each patch. These may be controlled via MIDI, OSC, host automation and Lua scripting, allowing for easy customization and expressive performance capabilities."

0-coast ambient: clouded_array (feat. Strega)

video by C Nich0lls

"Optimally experienced during a night-time walk, preferably along an industrial stretch of river or near docks. other locations will yield different, but equally valid results.

First recording with Makenoise's trinity of desktop machines. The Strega joining the 0-Coast and 0-CTRL, adding dimension, grit and presence to the 0-Coast's sound.
The piece is basically a single pass recording with the 0-Coast being heavily processed by Strega. Some additional layers of effects are added via Strymon's NightSky and light processing in Ableton.

A second layer of noises was added using the same sequence from the 0-CTRL just triggering and shaping some of Strega's inherent fizz and rumble.
Amazing how dynamically Strega responds to the 0-Coast input."

"I recently did a review of the Acid Bee from Error Instruments. The owner of the company saw my video and sent me a discount code. I used it to buy this product, the Broken Tape Simulator. It is a super cool lofi effect pedal that emulates a broken tape machine. It's crazy!

62HP: Contextual FX Processor - Small Eurorack Effect System

video by Perfect Circuit

"Back again with our trusty Intellijel Palette case, this episode of 62hp journeys into the world of Eurorack effects processing in a system dubbed the Contextual Effects Processor. While the name is a bit of a play on the inclusion of the Harlequin’s Context from Shakmat, the modules chosen for this system were picked for their versatility and ability to fit into a wide range of musical situations.

For our effects, we turned to the Data Bender by Qu-Bit Electronix for glitchy, digital artifacts, the expansive Milky Way from Endorphines for general purpose effects like delays and reverbs, and the crushing Guillotine distortion from Ritual Electronics. We’ve also got a Bastl Cinnamon for filtering and additional drive, and the Katowice by XAOC Devices supplies crossover filtering and multi band isolation for situations where surgical sound shaping is needed. External sounds enter the system through a pair of Mutable Instruments Ears modules, but we can also take advantage of their built-in contact mics for generating and processing sounds fully within the system itself.

The Harlequin’s Context is a preset programmer for generating linked sets of control voltage sources. Each of the four channels can be set up as an LFO, envelope generator, and more, and the configurations of all four are stored together in scenes, which can be accessed manually with buttons on the front panel or sequenced and scanned through for ever-changing modulation in your patches. When paired with a traditional modulator like ALM’s Pip Slope, any system (especially one loaded up with all kinds of effects like this one) can come alive in compelling ways.

All of these modules available here: https://www.perfectcircuit.com/catalo...

ALLINAIRE Live - Good Space Block Party (Monome Norns + ARC + Zoia + Bluebox)

video by Allinaire

"Reconstructed Live Video from the Good Space Block Party (29th May 2021, The Rocks, Sydney). Using Monome Norns with ARC controller & 16n Faderbank giving Granular control of several sound sources.
1010 Bluebox is used as the mixer and is streaming field recordings of ocean waves, wind, bells, sticks and other assorted noises being processed via Empress Effects ZOIA through a custom Granular and Ring Mod patch and Bluebox's own effects and filters - using a Zone K2 Midi Controller fully mapped to Bluebox and ZOIA.

The track is an extended, modified and live version of my track 'Nrem REM' from the Album 'Heiro' available on Bandcamp: https://allinaire.bandcamp.com/album/...

Note: This video is reconstructed from 2 takes. About half way through the live set on the night the 1010 Bluebox froze and became unresponsive (most likely due to a power issue - working with Aaron of 1010 now to sort out the issue) meaning all the mixing, half the field recording and audio sources with all internal effects, and the effect send to Zoia were unavailable. Rather than stop completely I was forced to carry on with what was still working which changed the final outcome completely. Obviously very disapointing but it just shows that gear failures can happen anytime - I'll need to reconsider some gear choices and power sources due to this issue.

For the purposes of completeness I decided to use an earlier live rehearsal recording to add back the 'missing' pieces by splicing it in about half way - so the video is not fully 'live' in that regard. The first half has also been edited in a couple of places to make this a shorter video. I've tried to match the video to the correct audio but a couple of inconsistencies may be evident.

I'd like to thank VJ 'ATTM' for the excellent Live video projection and live video feed and the amazing Luke Snarl for facilitating this part of the Good Space event and running the sound. Thanks to Good Space for hosting the event.

Video footage of the night by Dee plus some taken from the Live Stream."
