"The AX73 is a modern recreation of a powerful 80s analog synth, enhanced with a huge number of powerful functions. With four analog oscillators across two synth layers, unique modulation features, extended performance options, and an eight-module effects section, the Martinic AX73 unleashes the full power of the original hardware and more – no menu diving required, and all perfectly modeled through our Advanced Circuitry Emulation technology. And, it includes a generous lineup of 600 inspiring presets to get you started right away."
In 1986, the synth skies were studded with digital technology. That’s why the original AX73, with its proudly all-analog signal path ended up flying under the radar. Martinic has taken what was great about the original AX73 and elevated it into a powerful, flexible software instrument that fits right into the modern producer’s lineup of go-to synths.
With four analog oscillators across two synth layers, unique modulation features, extended performance options, and an eight-module effects section, this plugin AX73 (VST/AU) unleashes the full power of the original hardware and more – no menu diving required, and all perfectly modeled through our Advanced Circuitry Emulation technology. And, it includes a generous lineup of 600+ inspiring presets to get you started right away.
An interface for the 21st century
Settings View offers a clean, easy-to-use set of parameters for quick editing.
The Keys View, which emulates the look of the original hardware, has also been upgraded with many more functions – no menu-diving required! The robust Preset Manager allows you to quickly save and sort your favorite presets into "collections" that you can easily export and share with friends!
New Effects Section
Process the synth’s output with eight built-in effects units:
Compressor, Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, Distortion, and EQ
These effects can be routed in any order you like – simply rearrange them by dragging and dropping them in the FX Chain.
Something Borrowed
The best elements from other synths in the AX range have been distilled into a feature-rich reinterpretation of the AX73. Notable examples include: extra chorus settings and the arpeggiator from the AX60, a second VCO and sub-oscillator from the AX80, and an extended VCO octave range down to 32’, as seen in both the AX60 and 80.
Mod Power!
The AX73 plugin also offers far greater modulation capabilities than the original. It features four envelopes per layer (three of which are assignable), and four assignable LFOs per layer. Taking both layers into account, this gives a formidable eight envelopes and eight LFOs.
Split or Stack Layers to build your sound
Uniquely, the AX73 has two layers that can be split across the keyboard - allowing you to play two patches simultaneously - or stacked, providing an extra dimension of sound design. And, each layer has its own independent arpeggiator with 11 built-in modes - including some unusual modes such as Shuffle and Improv - that you can use to quickly create melodies."
Novation Launchkey Mini Mk3 ambient trick by using the arpeggiator - feat. Arturia Mini V3
video upload by Jannis Le Wolff
"In this video I share a technique that can provide you with inspiring sequences and melodies. Through using the arpeggiator 2 or 3 times and letting notes overlap you can add surprising twists and movements to your music. As a sound I'm using a simple patch that I've created with the Arturia Mini V3, you can find the settings inside the video."

🎸 In this instrumental series I'm playing some classics of Rock/Pop music history from the 60s and 70s, using my Vermona Perfourmer Mk2 Synthesizer and in this case also my Nord Drum 3P together with Ableton Live. I created a session in Ableton with Clips, but ended up creating a structure that was fixed, so I can play live the whole track on the Nord Drum. I automated some reverb and delay for adding movement, and afterwards mixed the song with some saturation, compression and EQ.

Twin Peaks Main Music Theme played by Vermona Perfourmer Mk2 - Analog Synth Music

🎸 In this video I've programmed the main theme of Twin Peaks in MIDI to let it be played by my Vermona Perfourmer Mk2 Analog Synthesizer. I've made 2 runs, so 8 voices are used in total. On the left side you can see the main guitar line + some mashup of the electric piano and the strings.
On the right side you can see the other melodic theme and the strings. Afterwards, I mixed and mastered the music with some basic EQ and compression and added some Reverb."
Recreating the Main Theme of Twin Peaks in Ableton Live 11 - Ableton Wavetable Sound Design Tutorial

🎸 In this tutorial I'm going to explain how you can recreate the music of Twin Peaks, more precisely the Main Theme, inside Ableton Live 11. The tutorial will first cover the music theory part, before then creating all individual sounds by using (almost) only the Wavetable synth in Ableton + a couple of stock effects.

Steppin' Out (Joe Jackson) - Ambient Synthesizer Music feat. Vermona Perfourmer Mk2

🎸 In the instrumental series "Eerie Ambient Rock" I'm re-interpretating some classics of Rock/Pop/Soul music history from the 60s and 70s or this time even 80s, using my Vermona Perfourmer Mk2 Synthesizer together with Ableton Live. For this video I was using OSC 1+2 for bass, 3 for the melody and 4 for some harmony type sequence. I applied some S+H modulation to the melody, which made it quite glitchy, especially with longer decay times.
