A Cold Forest - live outdoor synthesizer experimental loop jam with SH-101, MC-101, TD-3 and RC-500

video upload by drone-in-the-woods

"Although the sun was sneaking through here and there, and lizards were sunbathing on the logs at the edge of the woods, this was a cold forest session under the dense evergreen canopy. I was fortunate to create and jam out this track in record time, before returning to the top of the hill and the warmth of late summer.

Monome Norns + Grid (Cheat-Codes 2) and Teenage Engineering Op-1

video upload by Luca Longobardi

"Had a nice session today with Cheat-Codes 2 and Op-1.
This is basically the process that brought me to what you hear:
1) Recorded 3 live buffers (A= piano sampled with Op-1, B= synth pad made with Op-1, C= synth arpeggio made with Op-1);
2) Recorded a pad sequence for each buffer;
3) Put each pads in loop mode, chosen 3 to start, pressed Rec;
4) Adding a sequencer with a bass line I am playing live while starting the pad sequences one by one.

I might add a lead voice to this one and basically have a track done :)"

Minimoog - Expo and Lin Glide Comparison...

video upload by noddyspuncture

"Having installed one of my Minimoogs into my R.A.Modular (which has some modules dating back to 1967..! 😲 ) I also added a couple of switches which can switch it between the Modular's 950 keyboard circuit or it's own in-built keyboard circuit. This was just in case, when using it 'live' something occurred which meant I couldn't use the Modular - for example if the Modular's power supply malfunctioned. And with that pairing the glide function comes into play. The Minimoog's internal glide is linear whereas the 950 keyboard's is exponential. It just occurreed to me that I could make a video comparing the two... so here it is."

Numeric Repetitor patch and jam with BIA and Manis Iteritas - with some explanation

video upload by Rochefsky

"I started playing around with the Numeric Repetitor clock mangler module from Noise Engineering - in my new kit of ALL Noise Engineering modules.
I finally am getting the hang of this thing and some fun ideas started flowing.

Patch: I take the prime output from the numeric Repetitor (NR) into the trigger of the Basimilus Iteritas Alter (BIA) and the “factor 1” output of NR into the clock of the Mimetic Digitalis (MD). The channel 1 output from MD then goes back to the pitch input of BIA. This causes the BIA to have a trigger which precedes a short series of pitch changes, causing an interesting trailing off melody burst which can be extended or shortened using the built in envelope of the BIA. Then I add some Manis Iteritas (MI) melody form channel 2 of the MD with a similar trigger difference effect using factor 2 output of the NR.
I finally feed the BIA audio into Desmodus Versio for some mad Bat Reverb ;) …
Oh, and, I have Cleo Diaz modulation Manis low pass filter…
More patching fun to come!"
