"'Forever Young' Instrumental cover. I tweaked the JX-8P filter live for the song intro which sounded quite accurate (I guess it was originally done on a Jupiter 8 but the JX-8P did the job well).
The vocoder style effect in the intro was my own voice thru the Access Virus TI snow vocoder, sampled into the Emax (doesn't sound much as the original though :).

Roland JP8000,
Kurzweil PC1x,
Roland JX-8P,
Emu Emax.

Backtrack recorded on its entirely, track by track, by me using Pro Tools. No original audio was involved.

"Korg / Univox MiniKorg 700 Analog Synth. Full working condition. It was just internally calibrated by an analog tech. Filters, LFO, Scale Range all calibrated and it plays / sounds amazing. This has the most wicked leads and basses. SO many bands used this synth on session and gigs. I've owned or still own just about every analog synth made... this korg sounds like no other, and no other does what it does.. the closest ive found was with a Korg 770.. which is double this price and crazy hard to find."

Modular synthesizer meets Boesendorfer grand piano sent through Strymon Magneto

"Having fun with Strymon Magneto and a piano improvisation.
Used a pair of headphones (!) as microphone inside the piano and then patched that signal through mutable ears into Magneto.... Definitely the weirdest pair of mics i ever used, searched for anything with 3,5mm jack well i can say this works surprisingly well!

Recorded on boesendorfer grand piano and a custom modular synthesizer.
Arpeggiator Style Etude written for modular synth and piano."

The Sound of STYX - To Much Time On My Hands - Oberheim OB-X Synthesizer

"One of my favorite songs from STYX.
I used the Oberheim OB-X Synthesizer from the year 1978 for all synth sounds.
For the Rhodes Mk1 sound I used my Yamaha Reface CP incl. the internal effect section. Played with the Oberheim Xk keyboard controller. The SD is a E-MU sample and triggered with the Simmons drum pad."
