"Playtime Engineering create synths and instruments aimed at kids, but their big colourful designs can be enjoyed by all.

Troy introduced us to the new myTracks groovestation and sampler, and it looks like a super-friendly MPC with loads of instruments pre loaded and a sequencer that can send data to other instruments, meaning you can build a small set up with the myTracks at its heart. The built in FX are controlled by the Blipblox signature chunky levers, and the whole unit is safety tested for kids aged 3 and up, but maybe we all deserve a little more playtime in our lives?

"UVI were showing there Augmented Orchestra instrument which takes the Orchestra and through their multi-layer orchestral engine, effects and more to create some heavily processed and synthesized orchestral based sounds and take it to an entirely new level using UVIs Falcon engine which is incredibly deep.
You can either just flip presets and tweak macros, with the Falcon player or get right deep inside using the Falcon engine if you own that...

Orchestrion-a DIY analog String/Choir machine

A Strings/Choir synthesizer based on 12 oscillators with the AS3340 chip. I have chosen this VCO to get a very stable tuning over the octaves.

Each oscillator can be tuned individually. 3 oscillators are grouped together. There are 4 groups and each group has its own CV-1V/Oct input.

With an appropriate controller, the device can be played polyphonically in 4 voices.

There is a CV input for all VCOs at the same time

There is an adjustable ensemble effect that is always split between the 3 VCOs in a group

The entire device contains individual modules.

Strings and Choir can be mixed with a 5K Lin - Poti.

A separate saw-output can be connected to an external Filter or Resonator. It can be connected back

to the VCA-input

Delay is an option i didn't built in at this time"

With great dismay I read of the death of Sequential founder Dave Smith this week. I've used Sequential synthesizers like the Pro-One, the Prophet 600, the Drumtraks for many years and one of my all time favorite synths the Prophet VS. I was very fortunate to meet and speak to Dave in person a few years ago. I have rarely seen such a nice and patient person in the synthesizer industry. It left a lasting impression on me. My thanks go to his tireless work for the music industry. We wouldn't be where we are today without the revolutionary MIDI standard. My condolences go to his family. Rest in Peace. Your work will always be associated with Sequential. Thank you for all.
