BLEASS Sidekick - The Creative Rhythm Companion

BLEASS Sidekick is a combination of a kick drum synth, a step sequencer, and a ducker (aka a sidechain compressor). The result is a plugin that provides a unique way to create exciting rhythmic dynamics within your music.
The kick drum synth uses an analogue-style engine inspired by vintage beatboxes, which allows it to create a wide range of classic analogue kick drum tones with ease. This synth can be triggered by the built-in 16-step sequencer or by an external MIDI input; its sound can be mixed with the audio passing through the plugin, be used to trigger the plugin’s ducker stage, or both.
Used without the ducker, BLEASS Sidechain makes it easy to add your own kick parts to loops and other percussive parts.
Bringing in the ducker causes the input signal to reduce in volume whenever the kick synth is triggered. When used on a drum loop this lets you impose your own creativity on the underlying feel and beat of the loop, ducking-out the loop’s kick sound and pattern so that you can replace them with a sound and pattern that you have crafted.
Perhaps BLEASS Sidekick’s best trick, though, is to use the kick synth and sequencer purely as a trigger for the ducker. This lets you create fascinating and detailed dynamic rhythms within any part or track, whether individual instrument or an entire mix."

Celebrate electronic music history on 9/09 day with ER-99, a web-based instrument 🎛️ based on a famous Japanese drum machine from the 1980s. It was built to celebrate 9/09 day 2022 🎉!
All of the drums are synthesized using the WebAudio API. The hi-hats, crash, and ride cymbals are produced from sampled audio.
The complete source code is available on Github: https://github.com/matthewcieplak/er-99"

"This year, to celebrate 9/09 day, I've built a free, open-source analog drum synth you can play in your web browser. It's called ER-99, and you can play it here (works best on desktop devices!)
You can program patches and sequences on the web interface and save them as presets using the menu below the sequencer. (I have also added MIDI input for sync with external sequences).
You can also read the complete source code on Github. It's surprising how simple many of these sounds are to make!
The original Japanese drum machine that inspired this project is an analog sound design masterpiece, and you can read circuit analysis about its clever use of noise and bandpass filters over on Network 909. I've tried to use the same techniques in the digital domain but I'm sure I can tweak them to get even closer sounding: http://www.network-909.de/circuit.htm"

Vivaldi Four Seasons Winter Largo with Elektron Analog Four + Pluck 2hp and Strings
video upload by the machine in the botanical garden
"Version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons (Winter - Largo) with Elektron Analog Four Synthesizer + 2hp Pluck and Strings
The lead voice is played by a very small and thin voice module synthesizer called "pluck" by the usage of a physical modelling algorithm called "Karplus strong" to recreate plucked string sounds. This is happening under the direction of the "Analog Four" sequencer, synchronically while this one is playing the synthetic part of the bass.
Next to them perform the violins, divided into first and second, as well as the violas. These have been in charge of filling in the harmony - between the solo voice and the bass - from the original chords of the piece."
Elektron MODEL SAMPLES and WIND QUARTET + bastl ikarie Perfomance and Review
video upload by the machine in the botanical garden
"Elektron MODEL SAMPLES + bastl ikarie and WIND QUARTET: Oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn (assembled in the Cre8audio Nifty case). Perfomance and short review.
I have written the score with the Staffpad score player and editor. The library used for the wind sounds is Berlin woodwinds from Orchestral tools (Staffpad version).
The composition is titled: Painting XI
'Model:Samples' is the little brother of the Elektron family of sampling machines.
A sampler is a machine or software that can manipulate captured sounds.
The possibilities of sampling today are practically infinite and the variety of processes that can be carried out on the audio are very sophisticated.
'Model:samples' doesn't stand out for its sophistication, that's what its older brothers are for.
'Model:samples' stands out for combining not only the power and versatility of the specific sequencer of Elektron machines but also for its ease of use and immediate control.
Since how quickly and effectively it can become a musical instrument: Most of the mechanisms to variate any sound are within reach of a single movement of your hand. Your imagined ideas can be quickly consolidated into a result on the machine; as when you play a key on the piano or a string on the guitar.
I've converted the mono signal from the 'Model:sample' to a stereo one by letting it flow through the `Bastl Instruments´ 'Ikarie' filter. A dual-mode stereo filter whose gain has also given it a lot of color.
I did only make use of a single sample for this topic. One of those which the machine is factory-equipped with. But it has been enough for a wind quartet that aspired to become a quintet to sign it up on their team.
The full lineup of this quintette is now composed by a clarinet, an oboe, a horn, a bassoon and, finally, 'Model:samples'.
There must have been good harmony between them, since they have promised to meet more times in the future to play together in this very special garden, where things from yesterday, today and, perhaps at some point, tomorrow meet up together."
