Similar to the performance style of the SP404, this particular setup provided flexibility on which effects and parameters Es-K could control during the beat performance. Ableton Live was used to host Effect Rack and map the controls to the knobs and pads on the Akai MPK Mini.

"Well, does it matter? They are all great instruments, the Kurzweils does have some advantages. The Forte has 16 GB flash memory and some nice sound design tricks like modulating the sample start point. You can edit the Forte like a modular synth - limitless.
