The Caladan first prototype (and signs of life)
video upload by Isla Instruments
Caladan first prototype build stream
"This will be extremely boring to most, but to some, maybe not.
There might be bad language, burnt fingers, tears and breaking things.
If you like watching paint dry, you're gonna love this."
Color Fantastic

"Another study in color and sound. Adding more texture manipulation to the @cycling74com jitter patch, then creating a quick soundscape with Vital, @madrona-labs Aalto and @NewfangledAudio Generate in Bitwig."
Higher Ground (Roland JD08 // JU06A // TR6S // Arturia Keystep Pro)
video upload by 2-Minute Warning
"After a small break (though it's the first time I've taken so long to upload a new video since I created this channel 😊), here is a new video featuring a new Roland Boutique synth: the JD-08!
This digital synth is renewing the famous Roland JD-800 from 1991! The JD-08 is a 128-voice synth, with 2 parts. Each part has 4 layers (each layer can be considered as being a full synth, with its own waveform, filter, envelopes etc.). So it has enough power to create some nice sounds and textures!
So for this video, the JD-08 is playing a chimes sound (sequenced by track 4 of the Keystep Pro) and a string sound (played live). The bass is sequenced by track 2 of the Keystep Pro. As for the drums, they are coming from the TR-6S (sequenced by its internal sequencer).
* Hardware used *
- Roland JD-08 : Chimes & Strings
- Roland JU-06A : Bass
- Roland TR-6S: Drums
- Arturia Keystep Pro: sequencer

8/9/23 .com Q123 (440Hz) SSL 1660 (gate rest) 1310 + LWSS + MooSonics + Zerosum Inertia (oscillate)
video upload by Cfpp0
"Same SSL 1660 sequence (except for the D slider position) as in the previous video, but with the 1660 gate set to rest, so that it deviates from steady 1/8th notes (the SSL 1310 is swinging them into 16ths). The Synthesizers.com Q123 Standards module (which has an oscillator that produces 440Hz to reference for tuning) runs into Zerosum Inertia The Destructor Beam, but self-oscillating and tuned higher than 440Hz. So flipping the 440Hz switch on or off selects either 440Hz or tube feedback and provides two tones to drone against the SSL 1660 sequence."

K-Teck - Gem - Max for Live Binary Sequencer
video upload by K-Teck
"Out now: Gem - Binary Sequencer... Gem: Binary Sequencer
The heart of Gem is a 12 bit Linear Frequency Shift Register (LFSR)
The 12 points represent a binary number which is then scaled to create a note value
Every step rotates the binary sequence by 1, changing the note output
The sequence can be played either every step or as a euclidean pattern

Making Custom Eurorack Front Panels with a Laser Engraver
video upload by Extralife
"I finally got a new, larger eurorack case! But it's shallower than my old one, so I need to re-format some modules to fit. Time to make a custom faceplate with my new laser engraver.
I'm combining 3 of the Hexinverter NeinOhNein drum modules into one so I can stack the PCBs and make a module sandwich. This is a very ad-hoc and manual process, but the front panel can be designed on the computer for a more professional looking result.
I ended up using some satin black Rustoleum spraypaint on top of some matte white Krylon. The laser is absorbed by the black paint, ablating it, and reflected by the white, leaving it intact. You can then remove the paint residue using rubbing alcohol.
The laser settings were very forgiving, I think I ended up using about 20% power and 100mm/minute for most of the marking. I found it was helpful to slightly defocus the laser to cover a wider area during engraving and to not mark the black paint when moving around in 'finding' mode (5.5W at 1% will still etch black surfaces!).

The BlackBox is Buggy, But He Made a Track Anyway! (Feat. Minifreak)
video upload by Ricky Tinez
"Get ready for a wild ride.. In this Dawless jam, aka a Compact Creation, the BlackBox by 1010music became a wild beast with some potential bugs? Who knows, most likely user error, haha! Don't worry, we're rolling with it and pushing forward to keep the track going! Outside of the drums, all the magic comes from the Minifreak sounds that I loop into the Blackbox. It's a bit of chaos, a dash of unexpected, but a whole lot of fun.

5 Jams with Cursus Iteritas wavetable oscillator from Noise Engineering
video upload by Noise Engineering
"Check out these 5 Jams using the Cursus Iteritas dynamically generated wavetable oscillator using orthogonal functions. We hope these jams will inspire you to think of new ways to patch.

0:48 Jam 2
1:38 Jam 3
2:08 Jam 4
2:51 Jam 5
More info on Cursus Iteritas: https://bit.ly/3jRt38o
Jam 1: We're adjusting the Cursus Iteritas' Fold and Structure controls while sending the signal out through the Electus Versio. The BIA with the kick.
Jam 2: We're adding in CV and pitch inputs on the CI one at a time, then adjusting the Center control to change the harmonic used to build the waveform. The Clep Diaz is adjusting the release on the Sinc Bucina. Mix is then sent through Electus Versio for the clocked reverb.
Jam 3: In this ambient patch, we've added a pitch input and 4 CV inputs to the CI, then we stepped aside and watched it play this beautiful generative journey.
Jam 4: It doesn't take much to make some exciting timbres out of the Cursus Iteritas. It plays very well here with Mimetic Digitalis, Fractio Solum, Horologic Solum, Loquelic Iteritas Percido, Bin Seq, and Imitor Versio. The Sinc Bucina shapes the sounds from Cursus, and the mix is sent through Electus Versio for some clocked reverb.
Jam 5: This time we're sending gates and modulation through every CV input on the Cursus Iteritas. The result is a huge variety of harmonic sounds and timbres. Then we follow that up with some Melotus Versio granular processing.
