Adastra Ensemble Strings - JRPG Score by GLASYS
video upload by 8Dio
"We were honored to have GLASYS take our Adastra Strings for a compositional tour de force. Adastra is a reimagination of our timeless 8Dio Adagio and Agitato String libraries but super-powered in Soundpaint, emphasizing playability and emotional realism.
Adastra Ensemble Strings is the culmination of 20 years of deep-sampling and building technology to facilitate hyper-realistic orchestral instruments.
Soundpaint makes the Adagio Strings come to life by offering both true polyphonic legato. 127 discrete velocity layers for things like non-vibrato to vibrato and an infinite amount of dynamics and round robin for short notes.
- - - - - -
Adastra Ensemble Strings will be available on September 19th 2023 (on www.soundpaint.com) - and there will be highly affordable crossgrades for all owners of our 8Dio Adagio, Agitato and Anthology String series.
Exclusively (and only possible) in Soundpaint."

9:20 ALL THE THINGS
Xer Mixa is a 32 HP all-analog digitally-controlled mixing powerhouse! 8 stereo-paired inputs, 2 auxiliary loops, and a stereo-paired output, tactile controls, and a 100% analog signal path with low noise and crosstalk, pristine sound quality, and ultra-high headroom. A built-in analog leveling amplifier is great for adding some punch to your mix. A digital control interface harnesses the true power of hybrid design, allowing for state save and recall, per-channel pan law and pre/post send settings, multichannel editing, and MIDI I/O.
Xer Mixa features 10 stereo-paired input channels: 8 interactive fader-controlled channels and two aux inputs. All 10 inputs feature clickless mutes. The screen makes configuration of per-channel pan-law settings, pre- or post-fader sends, and channel and MIDI CC routing simple and intuitive. Save your settings in one of seven preset slots for easy recall for your next set or session.
We designed Xer Mixa to be as compact as possible, with a streamlined and compact-yet-usable interface. However, if you’re looking for CV control, the 4 HP Expando Expandi adds 8 freely assignable CV inputs to the Xer Mixa. Connect up to two Expando Expandi to Xer Mixa for easy CV control over channel levels, pan, aux sends, and more. Xer Mixa and Expando Expandi are also available individually.
Xer Mixa can also be oriented with the jacks at the top or the bottom: a simple system setting inverts the screen for easy customization to fit your rig. And despite its extensive I/O, Xer Mixa clocks in at just 32 HP. Whether you have a massive studio rig or a compact performance system, Xer Mixa is the perfect choice for a tactile, expressive mixing experience."
PM Foundations FVS Plus Separates
video upload by Randy Piscione
"More PM Foundations (https://www.tindie.com/stores/pmfound...) multi-reSEMble panel comping. Everything except drums is coming from the cabinet with the reSEMbles and separates in it. The bass is coming from the separates (the SEM-based modules). The drums are an Alesis SR-16. I made most if not all of these modules.
You can get a closer look at the separates here: [posted here]
and the SEM tribute panels (reSEMBLE) here: [posted here]"

ASM Hydrasynth - "Blockbuster" (40 Exclusive Presets)
video upload by LFOstore
"A powerful sound that permeates the whole body and causes shivers - this is how you can characterize the new powerful soundset from LFO Store! This is a real blockbuster, in which each character plays his role in a way that surprises listeners to the core. The well-known sound designer Otto K. Schwarz prepared something completely new, revealing Hydrasynth to its maximum potential!
Each preset here has a modwheel assigned, as well as up to 8 modulation knobs, which will allow you to modify and transform sounds beyond recognition, getting a complex design. At the same time, many sounds have a multi-categorical nature, that is, they can be used as leads, or as plucks, and even as drones. In this pack you will find many effects and soundscapes, as well as cosmic leads, soft exhilarating pads, intriguing plucks, humming basses and much more!
These presets are especially good for soundtracks, however, suitable for various styles of music - for ambient, electronic dance music, futuristic experiments or even creating a retro flavour. Get ready to take your compositions to the next level!"
Solina String effects demo: Filters, phasers, drives and dirt
video upload by Richard DeHove
"The Solina's raw sound is not like your standard synth so it tends to react differently to effects. I tried lots of different effects and picked the most interesting to show here. First up was the Erica Synth AcidBox III which, surprisingly, was an excellent match. Using the AcidBox with full resonance was fun and would sound even better with stereo delay but I wanted to keep things to just one effect at a time here. Perhaps the AcidBox works so well because of the lack of controls on the Solina - suddenly the Solina gets an LFO, filter, resonance, input drive and envelope follower.
The phaser test with the EHX SmallStone, Phaser 95 and PH-1r I also found very interesting. For me the Ph-1r had the richest sound and the SmallStone was identical to the onboard phaser.
In the drive, disortion and dirt department the Glove and B3K had their moments while the Geiger Counter ranged from mild to total destruction and some bit crushing at the end.
I also included a short demo with the Boss Slicer, but that thing requires several hours discussion just by itself. Where I'm playing a chord with one note I'm actually triggering a Cthulu chord player in the DAW. Most chords are taken from a custom import of the main string line from Bruckner's 7th.
