Polyphonic Aftertouch on the KORG modwave
video upload by Waveformer
"I've been playing around with the KORG modwave and polyphonic aftertouch lately, and it's a lot of fun! The modwave feels like it was made for polyphonic aftertouch, with all its modulation features and the extremely powerful, flexible, and good-sounding synth engine. Playing with polyphonic aftertouch is a joy, but at the same time it requires some practice. I'm training my fingers to press down on the keys more gently and with greater nuance, but I still have some way to go. I thought I'd share this video of today's practice session, to perhaps inspire others to try polyphonic aftertouch with this synth as well.
The audio is recorded to SD card on a Zoom R16 mixer/recorder and normalized in Audacity. Video is recorded on a Canon EOS M50 mk2 with the included EF-M 15-45mm lens. Audio and video is synchronized in DaVinci Resolve 18 (free version)."
Chompi: It's good at ONE thing.
video upload by Ricky Tinez
"Chompi is great.. but, it has some funky quirks that I was not expecting when I first turned it on! When compared to other samples, the Chompi Sampler mimics more of a tape loop than anything and its actually why i bought one. So today, let's talk about the Chompi Pros and Cons, an overview, a review, as well as the one reason why I love it and bought it in the first place! Varispeed recording."
Miles Kvndra - Dune | Moog Subsequent 25 Jam | Jamuary 2024
video upload by Miles Kvndra
"Hi friends,
Happy New Year to you all! Here is my new song "Dune", which I composed and recorded live just using the Moog Sub 25 together with the Valhalla Supermassive. It has also been the intro of my recent live sets. I love this jam because it is something very different from the things that I usually do and also transports a big cinematic energy. Hope you dig it too and have an awesome 2024. 💜
Find the 'Dune' on the streaming platforms here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/mil...
Stay creative,
Miles"
Adding Controls to Polykit's DIY Analog Polysynth
video upload by Polykit
"I finally got the control board for my analog polysynth working. It's sixteen rotary encoders which can be freely assigned to any of the synthesizer's parameter. There is a 16x2 display for user feedback.
Make sure to check out the video playlist on the build process of the voice card and the main board:"
Ram ♈ (Waldorf M + Analog Heat + Rooms + Pill // TR6S // Minitaur // S1 + Particle // Keystep Pro)
video upload by 2-Minute Warning
"A 4-minute uptempo jam for the first video of 2024! 🎉 May all your wishes come true this year!
The Arturia Keystep Pro (KSP) is sequencing:
- the PADS played by the Waldorf M through the Elektron Analog Heat MkII (using mainly its analog filter modulated by one of its LFO) + Rooms reverb + Pill ducking pedal (triggered by the kick from the TR-6S).
- the BASS played by the Moog Minitaur. I used the 'Chain' patterns of the KSP to make a long bass line.
The DRUMS are being sequenced/played by the Roland TR-6S (I used its onboard filter on the master BUS for the builds).
And the LEAD sound played in real time on the Roland S-1 synth, through the Red Panda Particle 2 granular delay."

"Forgot to upload again... :-P
A little mix of fun iPad apps with my RC-505 looper.
It's a bit wonky as it was mostly improv."
