In a conversation with Sonic State, Jason explained that the *Dail Quantizer has been in the works for a while, with initial designs dating back to 2020. Due to the chip shortage, the product had to undergo a complete redesign, but the functionality has been well thought out over the years. The Dail Quantizer serves as a monophonic quantizer, precision adder, and MIDI-to-CV interface, providing a versatile solution for musicians looking to enhance their sound and performance.

The Dail Quantizer features three pages controlled by a toggle switch, allowing users to easily navigate between quantizer, precision adder, and scale programming modes. With the ability to set different scales, from major triads to pentatonic scales, users can customize their sound with ease. Additionally, the Dail Quantizer offers multi-octave spanning quantization, allowing for complex spread voice patterns and modulation of quantized signals.

The Instruō dàil is a high resolution quantiser, precision adder, MIDI-to-CV interface, and USB MIDI Host with a very small form factor suitable for any system.

"At Superbooth 2024, Chris showcased the Chromaplane*, an electromagnetic synthesizer developed with the support of *KOMA Electronic*. The instrument features 10 electromagnetic fields emitting from specific points on its surface, which are played using two pickup coils. The sound is detected by the coils, passing through a low pass filter and delay, creating a unique modulation effect. Additionally, the *Chroma Plane includes an envelope follower output and an external input for playing external audio sources.

The concept of the Chroma Plane originated from Chris's experience as a musician and visual artist, leading to the development of a smaller version of the instrument for live performances. After more than 100 concerts worldwide, Chris and KOMA are working towards making the Chroma Plane available as a commercial product in the coming months. "At Superbooth 2024 we met up with Andrew at Expert Sleepers who gave us a catch up on some of their recent modules. He had vuilt a complete synth voice using, among others, Otterley, a multi-output LFO and Ciceley a guitar fuzz pedal in CV modulatable module form. He also showed us a expander and display for the Disting EX made by Motley Modular, though Expert Sleepers do the same module as a kit."
