Erica Synths Introduces Resonant Filter Bank & Expander Eurorack Modules

sound demo (part 1) video upload by Erica Synths

I believe this might be a rebranding of their Resonant EQ, previously featured here, and here. I'm not finding any mention of the EQ on their site, only the FB. Aside from the labelling, the modules look identicle.

"Timeline:
00:00 - Patch 1. Pico Voice in Supersaw mode through Resonant FB. Modulated with Octasource with EVENS hard panned to left and ODDS hard panned to the right therefore creating a stereo effect
01:02 - Patch 2. Black VCO II SAW through Resonant FB in Filter mode which is modulated with Octasource.
01:55 - Patch 3. Drumbreak sample through Resonant FB in Filter Bank mode modulated with Octasource and Modulator.
03:18 - Patch 4. No audio input. Resonant FB self oscillating and modulated with two LFOs from the Modulator.
03:59 - Patch 5. Sample played through Resonant FB in Filter Bank mode and modulated with Octasource and Modulator.
04:47 - Patch 6. Yocto 808 played through Resonant FB in Filter mode.
05:59 - Patch 7. No audio inoput. Resonant FB self oscillating with frequencies controlled via the expander."

"The Graphic Resonant Filterbank (FB) is a ten-band analogue filterbank with digital control over each bands’ boost or cut. Each band can be controlled individually via CV or manually, while complex control configurations turn the filterbank into an unconventional multimode filter and even an instrument in its own right when played with various resonance settings. The Expander module (works exclusively with the Graphic Resonant Filterbank and is available separately) provides hands-on adjustment of boost and cut for all bands.

The Expander module provides hands-on adjustment over all bands’ boost and cut without the need to select bands via pushbuttons on the Graphic Resonant Filterbank module. This makes sound design with the Graphic Resonant Filterbank much easier.

NB! The Expander works exclusively with the Graphic Resonant Filterbank!"

RF Scota fm modulations

"Radical Frequencies electronic dark sequencing :the Dpvco pwm wave goes into Scota Vcf with overdrive of just pushing a bit the level of the low pass input.
The scota Vcf can be used as filter and lfo modulator at the same time !"

Gijs Gieskes WD80 Solar Powered Touch Synth

video upload by Gijs Gieskes

via gieskes.nl

"A solar powered synth where the solar power is integrated into the interface.

The WD80 refers to WD40, my French neighbour made the joke that it sounds like it needs WD-40, so i decided a good name for it is WD40 (i changed it to WD80 because of personal reasons and because WD40 is copyrighted).

The idea behind this synth is that you power it from the sun, but that the power is not just providing power, but it also acts as part of the interface. When there is less light the voltage goes down and then the frequency is also going down. When you use the synth you can walk around and for instance a tree above you will make a shade with allot of branches, this will give nice modulations in the sound especially when the wind blows a little bit.

It is using resistive touch contacts, so you can turn on the sound on the left side with one finger and the sound of the right side with another finger. There are two switches to turn on the left and right side on permanently, but it will be less loud then when you touch it. it will also be a little low pass filtered it seems when the switches are closed. So then when you touch it the osund will be louder and teh lowpass with be gone while you touch it.

The potmeter starves the power of the IC (HEF40106). The socket is a DIP socket so you can also try other versions of the 40106 series, for instance the CD40106, it might sound different.

The circle is connected to a oscillator that runs by itself, it is not directly connected to the output, but it somehow effects it allot.

The 4 lines are connected to 2 schmitt trigger circuits of the 40106, the center two lines are connected to the outputs of the schmitt triggers.

The output can drive headphones, there is no volume control so if it is to loud for you or the volume is to low you can use other headphones. I am using Sennheiser HD480ii.

For use in concerts you can use a halogen light to power the synth, and because it uses you bodies resistance to transfer the sound you can get hum (50hz or 60hz). To reduce this hum you can use a hum reducer that i am also selling."

Introducing the RS-9 Rhythm Sequencer by Behringer

video upload by Behringer

"Introducing the RS-9 Rhythm Sequencer Module with 64-Step Sequencer
and 10 Drum Channels for Eurorack."

Rhythm Sequencer Module with 64-Step Sequencer and 10 Drum Channels for Eurorack

Become a master beat-maker with the Behringer RS-9! Great for making rhythms on the fly, RS-9 includes: 10 drum channels and a 64-step sequencer.

The RS-9 boasts features that work great for live beat creation in each of the sequencer modes including step repeat, note repeat, real-time triggering and live step-overdubbing. This makes it easy to enable recording in pattern mode, so you can build song structures on-the-fly and switch back to playback mode at the touch of a button.
The RS-9 features a powerful 64-step sequencer. Store up to 64 patterns and 16 songs with a continuously variable swing allowing you to mimic a real drummer and give the beats you create a more human feel.

Additional Features
Pattern Mode – arrange full songs and set the number of repeats
Song Mode – chain together songs for live sets
Auto Scroll – improvise in all modes

Eurorack Ready

RS-9 is designed to fit into a standard Eurorack case. Just connect the power cables to the power supply and mount the module using the included screws. This allows it to be mixed with other synth modules for a truly unique set up.

Intellijel Flurry: 3 Patches with Rainbow Mode ๐ŸŒˆ

video upload by Intellijel

"Exploring one of our favourite features on Flurry ๐ŸŒˆ

Rainbow mode gives you immediate access to all 16 of the digital noise algorithms on Flurry. The Morph control lets you scan through them manually, or you can patch in CV to modulate between Noise Types - and that’s where things get exciting! We’ve created 3 patches that put Rainbow mode to good use - helped along by Tangrams, Planar2, Sealegs and more!

The patches:

00:30 - Rainbow Rhythms ๐ŸŒˆ

Noise type is sequenced and the output gated with the ‪@KorgOfficial‬ SQ-1, Tangrams and Amps. Planar mixes in S&H output with the sequence to randomise the noise type, as well as controlling delay & filter, to create fills. A great way to add playable rhythmic layers to your beats.

01:15 - Spectrum Steps ๐ŸŒˆ

This patch uses sample & hold to randomly switch noise type with every note. Via tangrams VCA input, the digital noise swells and modulates the SVF cutoff frequency at audio rate. Imagine a prepared piano, but the objects inside are constantly moving between keys.

02:05 - Chaotic Dispersion ๐ŸŒˆ

All hell is breaking loose in “Chaotic Dispersion”, and Planar2 is driving! With every joystick movement, a chain of events is set in motion - Noise type changes with position, as does the VCO pitch and delay settings. Gate from Planar2 triggers Tangrams which ramps up the pulse rate. The outputted pulse feeds Tangrams other envelope, which rapidly triggers the PLPG before slowing to a steady tick. This one is a lot of fun!"
