"The MX-20 was an electric piano produced from 1977 to 1978. Had five presets (high/low piano and clavichord and 'honky tonk') and a bass split with independent volume control. 61 key keyboard. Tune, Sustain and vibrato controls. Works as expected, controls are a little scratchy but sounds great otherwise!"

"Oberheim OB-1 Pro Serviced in January 2025!

Very potent and versatile vintage analog mono synth.

This particular OB-1 has the fantastic Tauntek programmer board installed.
That includes more cool features like 64 memory locations etc-etc.
It also completely replaces the sensitive and unreliable original programmer board.

The Oberheim OB-1 has a screaming resonance. The sweet analog filter is switchable between 2pole and 4pole."

"The Oberheim OB-12 is a virtual analog synthesizer introduced in the late 1990s by Oberheim, then under the management of Viscount International. It was intended to transfer the iconic analog sound of the earlier Oberheim synthesizers such as the OB-Xa or the OB-8 into the world of digital signal processing.

The OB-12 has been praised for its wide tonal palette, ranging from gentle pads and bell-like tones to aggressive leads and basses. However, purists did not always regard it as a worthy successor to the analogue Oberheim synthesizers, as the digital sound character was sometimes perceived as less authentic.

Nevertheless, the OB-12 remains an interesting and versatile synthesizer that will be appreciated in both studios and live performances thanks to its distinctive sound and flexible programming options."

SUPERCHARGE your OP-XY with KOALA Sampler

video upload by Skerry Vibe

"While we patiently wait and hope for updates to the sampler in the OP-XY, the solution to many of the shortcomings can be found in our pockets, the Koala Sampler. It works well with midi and sending audio to and from it.

I hope this will give you some inspiration.

"1/22/25 (pulser monks) Metasonix TM-3 & TM-1 + Hewlett-Packard 3310A + CXM 1978

The TM-3 didn’t fit easily onto the Alesis rackmount, but we were able to rack it after grinding the holes a bit. In this video, the TM-3 oscillators and suboctave are droning through the TM-1 SE, which is getting CV from the Hewlett-Packard 3310A function generator. The reverb was blended on the CXM 1978."

"Экспериментальный звуковой синтезатор RADIODRONE (с модулятором Червонского представленного в видео - • Модулятор звука. Звуковой эффект. Авт...
Полная импровизация. И давняя идея совместить радио с эстетикой дрон-звучания и другими нойз-структурами. После долгих мытарств получилось уже что-то интересное. Можно развивать эти идеи дальше).

Experimental sound synthesizer RADIODRONE (with Chervonsky's modulator presented in the video - • Модулятор звука. Звуковой эффект. Авт...
Complete improvisation. And an old idea to combine radio with the aesthetics of drone sound and other noise structures. After long ordeals, something interesting has already been obtained. These ideas can be developed further)."

Модулятор звука. Звуковой эффект. Автор - А. Червонский.

"Sound effect - sound modulator. A. Chervonsky.
In the video, first the sound from the electric guitar, from 2:45 with the voice, and from 4:12 from the audio player, the voice and the song.
Description from the magazine: "the described device makes it possible to modulate the amplitude and phase of the EMI signal with the audio frequency voltage from the auxiliary generator. The sharp specificity of the resulting musical effect (there is no established name for it) significantly limits its use, but in a number of cases of pop practice it can be quite justified. The frequency of the auxiliary generator can be changed during the game, introducing new colors into the sound of the instrument. In addition, the device has a vibrato generator, which additionally modulates the amplitude of the generator signal, which, in turn, leads to a timbre vibrato of the sound at the EMI output. The device has been tested in operation together with an electric guitar, but it is possible that good results can be obtained with other EMI."

--------------------------------------------
(my addition - added a microphone amplifier to the circuit (it also came in handy for amplifying the guitar). The low-frequency generator (vibrato) is of course already outdated and has a small range. I increased the value of resistor R25 by 47-50 kilo-ohms, otherwise vibrato would not work. And I decided to add a variable resistor of 1 mega-ohm, after R12, to adjust the intensity of the effect. Although this does not give much)."
