"The first sampler from AKAI - 1985
4khz to 22khz frequency sampling (1 sec. to 8 sec.)
6 voices polyphony
Analog lowpass filter
In good cosmetic condition, with many light traces of rust on the cover, but all other parts are free form rust or humidity traces. Inside is perfectly clean.
Everything works perfect.
This unit have the rare custom Firmware 1.3 from Florian Anwander allowing multi slices, velocity to filter and amp + more.
Some of these features need to be loaded from disk at start, but this disk is missing.
However, the velocity functions are available
The sampler have also been modified with 6 individual outputs. It allows to output each slice to individual output, but also to pan each of the 6 voices individually.
The MD280 disk unit have a new belt and head cleaned
It comes with 6 rare QDD 2.8 inch sample disks, including original AKAI library disks.
Works on 220-240 AC"

Zen Synth? Thinking through the Kodamo Mask1
video upload by j bowman
"Is the Kodamo Mask1 the most Zen-like synthesizer on the market today? In this video, we take a deep dive into the bitmask-based sound engine of the Mask1 and explore its groundbreaking approach to sound design on synths. Whether you're a seasoned synth head or just discovering the unique potential of the Kodamo Mask1, this video walks you through the philosophy, workflow, and sonic capabilities that make this synth stand out.
🧠 We'll unpack what makes the Mask1’s bitmask synthesis architecture different from traditional subtractive and FM synthesis, and why this could change how you approach creative sound design synth work. From clean digital textures to gritty harmonic layering, the Mask1 offers a truly original toolkit for crafting viral-worthy sounds.
Perfect for synth enthusiasts, sound designers, and anyone hunting for deep-dives into rare or underrated instruments. This isn’t just a review—it’s a journey through a meditative and highly programmable machine built for sonic sculpting.

Dreamer 💭 (Sequential Take 5 + H90 / Nymphes + Microtubes X / 0Coast + Timeline / TR6S / Hapax)
video upload by 2-Minute Warning
"Back to the ~2-minute format 😅
In this track, the Hapax is sequencing all the instruments, starting with the Take 5 where I tweak a few knobs. Then comes the BASS played by the Nymphes. For this sound, I used its LFO's delay parameter. Thus you first hear the sound without any modulation, then comes the syncopated part at the end of the sound! I finally launch the LEAD part played by the 0-Coast through the Timeline delay and DRUMS, played by the TR-6S. The Hapax FILL button is being used here to activate a couple of MIDI effects on the different tracks.
Hardware used *
// 🥁 DRUMS: Roland TR-6S (Digital Rhythm Performer)
// 🎸 BASS: Dreadbox Nymphes (6-voice analog synth) + Darkglass Microtubes X (Multiband analog Distortion)
// 🎹 PLUCKS: Sequential Take 5 (5-voice analog synth) + Eventide H90
// 🎸 LEAD: Make Noise 0-Coast (semi-modular analog mono synth) + Strymon Timeline (Ice Delay)
// SEQUENCER: Squarp Instruments Hapax
Recorded in one shot and mixed in Ableton Live."
